Does anyone else have a problem with both of the France gents being on the same first year ballot?  I certainly do.  I have no problem with both getting in the Hall...but not in the same year.

I have no problem with both France's getting voted in at the same time. My reason is first off "Big" Bill founded NASCAR....nuf said about that. Bill Jr was the one who got Winston to sponser the Cup series thereby bringing lots of $$ to the sport and TV interest. If it weren't his initiative NASCAR would not be as popular as it is today. I dissagree with your last candidate into the hall. I respect and admire Rick Hendrick and think he is worthy to be there, but not yet. There are too many other people who deserve the honor before him, ie: David Pearson, check out his stats

It's called the "Twisted Sister" due to the fact that the teams would twist the bodies to gain an aerodynamic advantage. This is one reason why NASCAR has gone to the COT and why they have a common template. Those cars were ugly.

Hey guys, long time no see. Well the other day while listening to NASCAR radio on Sirius, I heard an interview with a woman who had a couple of websites up devoted to the science of NASCAR. This really intrigued me, so I wrote the web adresses down while and checked them out when I got home. The first one www.science360.gov has some interesting videos devoted to the different topics in NASCAR such balance, weight distribution, horsepower, ect. The videos can be downloaded for free and are quite good. The next site www.stockcarscience.com has all kinds of info on mechanics and science as it relates to NASCAR. I haven't gotten a chance to look at everything there but there is alot. Hope you all like it.

Don't feel bad. I turned on Speed last night to watch Trackside live and was wondering why it wasn't on. The funny part is I have Sirius radio in my truck and I listen to NASCAR radio all day long. They've only mentioned this was an off weekend a billion times lol!

A soft compound tire wont last a fuel run under those conditions.  See the 5, 39 and 88 (at least).

Well Martinsville would be a great place to try this out. Think about it, Charlotte and Atlanta are 2 high speed, high banked tracks where the cars use the banking to help turn. Martinsville on the other hand is very flat but yet still very fast considering how tight the turns are.

Thats one less race I'll watch next year. Who wants to see Micheal Waltrip and David Ruetiman in the shootout? Not me, I think between the two of them they have only one top 5 finish. The shootout has always been about the pole winners, and it should. The fans could really care less about the manufactures champions and owners champions, and NASCAR is trying to make them seem more important. The fans care more about the drivers imho.

Yeah I listened to it today on Sirius Radio, the Tony Stewart Press Conference. I thought it was funny when Claire B Lang the reporter for XM Sattelite Radio asked her question, thats when Sirius decided to break in and remind everyone what we were listening to. They just stepped all over her so her question could not be heard. The stupid games the media plays with each other.

I was pretty positive he would would be driving next season, but wasn't to sure if he would do it full time. I bet the fact that his son has given up on racing had a lot to do with it.

Yeah I read your post earlier and I thought I don't ever recall ever seeing lights at Loudon. As for Mears being out out of the #5 , it was also reported on Sirius NASCAR chanel this morning that Hendrick also said that Mark Martin is the most likely candidate to step in on a full time basis. Sorry if that was mentioned in the article, but I'm too lazy to click on it now and read it.

Damm ig, nice find, I enjoyed that. On a side note I'm always stuck in my truck on Sunday's in my truck and never get to watch cup races anymore, so I've been listening to them on AM radio. Well this week the local Tampa radio station didn't cover the race so I didn't get to hear it at all. So I fixed the problem by getting a Sirius radio, now I'll be able to listen wherever I am crystal clear.
