But seriously, had my eclipse for 7 months now and never had a problem with it. Im boosted on stock internals pushing the limits of my stock pistons. Been running boost for 4 months, nothing has gone on it yet. The only beef with it is, the ridiculous turning radius, sometimes I feel like im driving a fucking bus. I do pretty well in autocross though, only ran over 3 cones in the 8 times I have been to the track

Buying a car such as the chevy volt is a quick relief for gas prices, but it will burn a BIG hole in your pocket upfront, and in 5 years when the battery in the car goes bad.

off ebay? your better off going to napa, auto zone, discount, you know your getting the right stuff there. from ebay you dont know what your getting. if its not the right one your stuck trying to return it to ebay. most auto part stores give warranty's on them. auto zone shows couple diff sizes clutch for eclipse depending on year/motor type. they also give a life time warranty on all the parts.
plus you dont have to wait to have it shipped, remember cheaper isnt always best when it comes to important parts like that. you get what you pay for.
My dad took it for a spin this morning. Told me we definatley have to replace the clutch. Im ordering a new one off ebay, with the pressure plate, and flywheel.VicktorVauhn wrote:

You mean neutral? What would a slipping clutch do in neutral?
If the engine is flaring without a change in speed, it IS a problem with the clutch... maybe not necessarily worn, but SOMETHING is wrong with it... There are no other components of the drive train in a manual car that allow slippage.Been there. Worst mistake I made lol.i g wrote:

Me and my dad are gonna check it out on wednesday, and probably replace the clutch.
What you said doesn't sound weird, it sounds like a worn out clutch lol, putting it in neutral to check for a worn clutch does however sound weird...
Try 5th starting in 5th gear from a stand still. If it doesn't just stall straight out your definitely slipping.

Well, I guess Ill replace the clutch next week and see if it stops. Im not sure if its the stock clutch, but if it is, its about time for a new one. (just hit 96,000 miles)
Well, it started about 2 weeks ago.
Ill be cruising in 5th gear give it a little gas (less than half throttle) and my RPM's shoot up about 1.5-2 thousand then come back down while my foot is still on the gas.
It started doing it in all gears now. For instance im in 2nd at 3000 rpm and lets say I floor it, the rpms jump like normally, but they also do the same dip that happens at a lower rpm.
The best way I can describe it is, its kinda like in an automatic car when you give it gas and it hops out of overdrive and your rpms go up a little.
Only thing I can figure, is it must be the clutch slipping.
Anyone have and idea?

Check the plugs, most likely though if it were your plugs the car would bog very badly.
Check the air filter.

Im on my Senior year now, and I have to basically ace all of my classes to get out. I might even have to take classes on the weekend.
I need 7.5 credits to make it out. This year, there is a total of 7 credits I can make, unless some of the classes are weighted differently, which I am hoping for VERY badly.

I got involved helping a local dealer. He wasnt very big at the time but I was still pullin about 500 a week delivering. Also, I used to help this guy sell stolen audio equipment. He used to buy stolen subs, amps, speakers, head units, GPS systems, laptops ect. I used to pick up the stuff from a guy in St. Augustine and take it back to Daytona Beach and drop it off to him and he would give me a cut. Usually like 200 dollars.
I quit working for the dealer, because he was getting pretty big, and kept giving me less money around july. The audio guy got arrested in september for receiving and selling stolen stuff.

Around where I live I see more kids with mother/father families getting into more trouble than kids raised by single parents. I guess it all depends on how that single parent raises the child. Some single parents will try to teach the child to be "good" while other parents dont give a fuck and let their kids do w/e.
I was raised by a single parent, although I have never been arrested or charged with any crimes, I have done bad things. Mostly things to get money, that I regret now.
