so you can flip it?Poseidon wrote:
The Antec 900 requires you to flip your PSU upside down...well, atleast the directions say you're supposed to. That's how I have mine. It increases airflow by a LOT.
well then does anyone know of a good PSU thats SLI Certified, somewhat stylish, possibly modular cable support, and fits on the bottom of a case?
i wanted to put one like this in it http://www.kingwin.com/product_pages/abt520ma1w.asp
my profile was reset. multi and single player. now i got to start all over again
Im on a laptop computer and not at home so i cant look. But my question is can you flip a PSU over on to the otherside and mount it. I have a Antec 900 case and the PSU mounts on the bottom of it. All the PSUs i look at have bottom windows and fans and if i put them on my case they would be right against the bottom. so can i turn it on the other side so the fan is facing up but yet still screw it in?
i havent had good experiences with asus, but i have always used their AM2 socket boards, so not quite sure about their lga775 boardsSexyCabbage wrote:

THERE IS NO NOTICIABLE DIFFERENCE, i have been on both before (seagate barracudas in raid 0 and a Raptor)leetkyle wrote:
To the average user (a light gamer, a multimedia user), a Raptor holds no significant advantage. While the drive is faster, the user probably will not notice much of a difference.
exactly. my point earlier. all u pay for is the nameBeerzGod wrote:
All you pay for with Raptors is the name "Raptor". They're popular drives because they claim 10,000rpm speeds which ARE NOT noticably different from 7,200rpm. While they are a good quality HD, they are also a massive waste of money. Go with 2 HD's from a quality brand like Seagate, or Western Digital and put them in Raid 0. You'll have three times the storage capacity then a single Raptor, you'll have a fast loading computer, and you'll be happy knowing that you didn't fall victim to the bs hype that is the Raptor.
Are you looking at buying a case also because newegg has good case+PSU combos

How many fans and what size fans? Any other accesories?
If u have the money and have nothing better to spend it on then ya maybe get something around 700w, but u still should be fineScorpion0x17 wrote:
Personally, I'd go for 600+, just to be on the safe side.
escpecially if u dont overclock. on my old pc i pushed my psu past the limit (about over 80w)for over 3 years, it still works
your fine. when it calculates it already adds a little
who needs to upload a virus when you have a chainsaw?
the 10,000rpm has no noticiable difference than 7,200. i would go with raid 0
Google It
for what u need anywhere from $40-100 http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/SubCa … r-Supplies
not hard at all. just unconnect all power cables, unscrew it from the back of the case pull it out, and set new one in, screw in, and plug everything back in.
edit: also try to remember how the powercables were organized. when you put in new PSU use some zip-ties to make it tidier and more airflow efficient

you might could get a decent water cooler on Ebay for less. or google that case and see what other people have done.
get some good 120mm fans and get a good airflow going. what case you have?
everest and speedfan
it should. did have xp on it before or has vista always been on it?
cheap ones maybe around 125. good quality and good looking ones around 250
The antec nine hundred isnt cheap at all. with just the stock 120mm fans and the 200mm it has an excellent airflow and it kept mu CPU at 25 with the stock CPU cooler. it isnt flimsy at all, majority of it is steel. and very customizable
ok. just curious. i have ton of shit in my PC and i only use about 3/4 of my 450w PSU
may i ask why u need 700w
has it worked before or did u just install it?
snipers: to show them there hding spot was shit

you might would want to upgrade your psu, but not to 400w. maybe 300ish.w0ls0n wrote:
I would maybe suggest an upgrade to your Power Supply. Maybe a 400W that you can get at Best Buy.
I had a dell dimension case just like that. i would recommend 7600gt agp 4/8x. i had that in my old computer with a P4 processor and 1.5 gigs of ram and could play BF2 on high. its a good chip.
i am not into ATI. sorry. i dont think that card can. google it
i have been on millinnium force but top thrill drag broke down while i was in line for it sensor malfunction
That is true. the top tray on the 900 can hold beer cans easily![TUF]Catbox wrote:
but it doesnt have a beer holder like the 900... lol
i got one. it works excellent. right now i got all the stock fans and stock CPU cooler and it still keeps me CPU at 25 degrees(AMD Athlon64 6000+ 3.0GHz). it has an excellent airflow with the front-bottom 120mm fans and top-left 120mm fan as an exhaust, and oh yea the top 200mm exhaust fan. i just ordered some round cables and 2 120mm fans for the side and middle brackets. they should get here tomorro from newegg
the psu at the bottom does not hurt it at all. the airflow takes out the heat before it clogs up.
and like i said it keeps my CPU at 25 with just the stock fans and coolers.
ps I highly recommend buying some lights to put inside of it. 12inch cathode lights fit well inside on the top. one end can fit in between the drive bays and the top of the case making it more sturdier. and you can run the controller out the back thround the little rubber hole in the case.
