I think Boris does much better with his 3rd language than 50% of this board does with their first.

The time needs to be registered on BFHQ before any kills in a round will start counting towards getting veteran

If you download the video from google instead of just  streaming it  the quality is normally (but not always) better.

My time in a chopper is almost non existant prior to 1.2, but since then I have been having time to fool with the chopper since the whores have gone on.

If I have a good pilot, mid-long range shots are not any problem. Short range I find it hard to steer it quickly enough to hit the target every time even with a decent pilot. Is there some trick I am missing or are the 'near point blank' shots just that much harder? My line of thinking is normally to fire then click past (outwards from center of screen) the target so the center will actually line up with the target.

Even if someone is coming from a totally selfish point-whore attitude, heal points are hard enough to get without throwing them away just so you can possibly revive someone a couple seconds later.  You let someone die, chances are you are next while you take the time to paddle them. Personally, I throw down packs whenever possible but there are many occasions when you just can't get to a player before he dies, so you just revive him.

The only way you can actually 'accept responsiplity' for something is to accept the consequesnces as well. Since the consequences will involve him being wiped/banned/whatever, there is no way you can accept them, especially since you are going to suffer the same fate.

Nice try to keep your buddy(s) out of trouble though.

The only point here to debate is if a coalition of multinational forces including all of Europe, Russia and China tried to invade the continental US and occupy it would they win or lose?

Assuming there is no nukes, if by some reason they did manage to defeat the Armed Forces. No country in in the world would ever be able to occupy the US with enough force to actually be able to consider the war 'won'.

300million North American(because Canada would be drawn in due to the need for landing sites) citizens are sure not going to sit on thier hands and let it happen. Even China would not have a hope of garrisoning enough troops in large population centers to make such an occupation possible.

This episode was the most tragic since Jack had to kill Chappelle.

I just go AFK and spank it while I am in there. If I get kicked at least it was worth it.

I realize it doesn't do much damage, but 2 clips will deal enough damage to take down a chopper that is severely crippled. One of my kills today might have been him crashing since it was barely out of draw range, but I highly doubt it considering the skill of the pilot and the fact that I hit him right before I got the kill messages.

I totally agree with the M95, I take shots with that all the time. Even shot out my first pilot from a moving chopper yesterday. I prefer using the M24 in most cases though, so the pistol is my only real option since it can be fored so fast.

Started doing this when 1.2 came out, and whenever I saw a chopper smoking even a little bit I would unload my  pistol into it. Today it kinda peaked and I got 7 kills (4 choppers) on one map just from nailing them as they are fleeing. I love enemy pilots freaking out when they realize they were killed by a silenced pistol.

Just wondered if I am the only one who does it.

There are some spots that snipers sit to kill a large range of people. I find my best rounds are when I position myself so the people who gravitate to these positions are often not concerned at all with fire coming from my direction. Typical 10+ kills per death if you can find one of these spots that works with the current flag configuration. This won't always happen, but when it does I would not consider moving for anything untill one of them gets a clue and puts enough bullets in me to kill me.

For example, one map today on Ghost town. I was on a building and the instant I got up there I was nailed with a m95, I got under cover from the shooter and proceeded to kill 17 people without getting hit again.

The number 1 thing to remember when playing against a random bunch of players is THEY ARE LEMMINGS. They will keep doing whatever it is they normally do, assuming they are getting shot from a typical place or running down the same corridor into your sniper fire or claymore. Not all of them though, but enough that you should assume this will be the case unless they prove otherwise.

My stats are bogus to. Some jerkwad gave me 2000 extra deaths while I wasn't looking. I managed to get a picture of him though. I think this may actually be Nitro's little brother.

I think it should factor in things like:

How many repeated times did I run into the same sniper's claymore at the exact same location on this map?
How many repeated times did I get into  vehicle and get instantly blown up by C4/mines/TOW from the same person on this map?

Just because the concept of hours, minutes, years etc is man made, does not mean that time itself is man made. Time passed well before we had given it any units of measure.

I have not taken a physics class in almost 12 years,nor do I claim to be an expert in even the slightest regard. But as far as I am concerned the reason it looks like time  stops when near a singularity is due to the fact that all light is pulled into it and slows down, since light does have a mass. Therefore from an extrenal perspective time appears to slow, since our ability to view the events is skewed because the light which we use to view it isn't moving as quickly.

As stated in the older movie "Young Einstien" if you look at a clock noting the time on the dial. If you move away from it at the speed of light, the time will appear not to change. Now, while this was a nonsensical movie, I think that description is actually fairly close to accurate.

I can see this, your 'dad' logs on to good old Jim's account, goes afk while you spawn kill him. I don't know why anyone is accusing you of stat padding. Your dad must suck or have one of those monitors that don't actually turn on, but thats understandable. If my dad tried to play BF2 the first thing I would do is go assfuck him at spawn point over and over, but thats just me.

So by your account you are in this 'shack' trying to kill this opponent, and trying your hardest to kill him I am guessing. So while you are trying real hard to kill him, someone notices you.. flies the chopper over but can't get you guys, so he comes back with C4 and blows you up. How did you not manage to kill this 'opponent' in this time period? Were you using your dads monitor? Maybe it was a fierce battle with him and his medic. I can understand that, medics are pretty tough to kill in an enclosed space.

I can see why you would be upset that people might think you are statpadding when the evidence you have laid out yourself TOTALLY CLEARS YOUR NAME.

This may just be a game, but you got serious issues that have nothing to do with your BF2 stats.

The most complete explaination: If you get a kill from vehicle that isn't from the vehicle mounted weapon.

Running someone over, claymores, mines, artillery (while seated in vehicle) and the vehilcle exploding by your actions (ie you blew it up and killed someone beside it)  are the most common. In theory you could also get one by throwing a grenade and jumping into a vehicle before the nade went off, but thats real unlikely.

Use flash bangs, UAV and sneaky sneaky on spotted sniper positions and on a lower population server it shouldn't take you more than a few maps to get it done.

At ANY range, point the gun at them and unload your clip as fast as possible without fucking your aim up. 9/10 times they will die before you do. Shooting fast is the key all the way. Another thing I found, using a silenced pistol seemed easier, since it takes longer for people you flank to realize they are being shot, and the recoil just seems less severe.

Hey, just because you need red dots on your mini map, and bright green outlines of people hiding behind buildings to play doesn't mean you suck at the game!  However, it does apparently mean you suck at using MS Paint.

I play BF2 on my 17" laptop and prefer it to any kind of monitor I can hook up to it.
