Blade, hurry up and get me in your corp! Getting bored
Yea sign me up blade, im just getting a heap of offers after posting on eve. All of which so far seem pretty shit.
Yea im getting to that stage, dont get me wrong, id be happy to do a bit of mining just to have a break from PvP - But for now i want a corp that focuses mainly on PvP/PvE as well as a small bit of industry work in the background. Cheers for the site link Grim, ill go find a new corp and relocate my stuff!
Im about 20 days in now and to be honest im starting to wonder how and when i'll start having fun? What do you do to make it fun? My mining corps idea of fun is getting four ships together, heading off to an asteroid and then watch a laser hit the asteroid for hours on end... They do all this whilst typing on corp chat about ship stats and what fits what. It's boring as hell as far as i'm concerned - I want a corp that goes out hunting people in 0 sec, especially those who mine for hours on end whilst talking shite!Blade4509 wrote:
The more time you put into eve the more fun you'll get out of it. This means if you try a 15 day trial and decide it isn't fun, of course it won't be. IIRC I've put about 10 months into the game and I'm finally at a point where I'm having a freakin blast with it.
This is what i hoped they would include on the last GTA. Remember how GTA 3 went from ariel to 3rd person? But still gave the player a chance to play from the top down perspective. I was hoping they would give the player a choice to play 1st person in GTA IV, its definately detailed enough now and would make you appreciate all the effort R* put into the city design.
As for the shooting, it kind of reminds me of the gun movement from Goldeneye on the N64. Dont you reckon?!

Lost my merlin last night doing a PvP, escaped in a pod, now im stuck in a 0. sec station with nothing but an Ibis...
Cheers for the help Grim, ive been smashing out those skill books! Also got myself a Merlin from doing the tutorials - not bad! My plan is, finish the tutorials and decide whether i want PVP or mining and production...
Ok i'm going to have to meet you ingame for you to talk me through this, or at least talk on the chat. The problem with a skill that costs 800k for me is that i only have 700k in my bank....IrishGrimReaper wrote:
Browse the market, and look under the skills section, look for learning skills. Basic ones which give a +1 to your attributes cost like 800k each I think, train these to lvl 4 and you can add the advanced ones(also add +1 to your attributes) which cost 4.5 mill each I think. Train these to level 4 also. They are best trained early as they descrease training times of every skill you will ever train.
Caldari I think, one of the scientists. When you say train the learning skills what do you mean? Im training stuff like manufacturing etc.
Just got onto this Eve hype, my names 'The Optimist'. Feel free to add me, speak to me, make love to my ship or give me money. I fly a little bitch ship at the moment called a Bantan or something like that, so yea...
Found this website the other day, pretty good viewing if you're into food - especially food that induces heart attacks just by simply looking at it.

Damn...I think the console could kill it. Can't really blame EA though, its what they have to do to make money off the game.
This is how i see it, if the game was only on PC: Massive maps, 128 players (maybe more) and a host of great features.
On Console and PC: Average BF2 size maps, 24 players (maybe 64 for PC) CoD like gameplay.

Yea PR can be great, however the map designs are far too big and do not concentrate the action enough.FatherTed wrote:

Oh and I never walk, I call for a lift via heli or get a jeep and don't destroy it. TBH I'd rather tab out and browse this site than walk across those massive maps.
That said I haven't played PR in over a year.

It's good and bad, to an extent its a natural reaction to profile everyone from the same race. If you were attacked by say a half human half horse, you would learn not to go near those people again as it can cause you pain.
In the same respect it's important not to generalise, judge each individual as you meet them regardless of race or religion.

The new Predator Film - 7/10
The film starts off well however as it goes on, it gets worse...
There is a good mix of characters, very cliched as you would expect from a predator film (if you've watched the first). The leader is an ex merc whos the usual badass leader typ;, cue the gruff voice and refusal to reveal his background to ANYONE. The rest are a rag tag bunch of spetz naz, convicts, African militants - you get the idea.
As for the predators, they are looking pretty mean, there seems to be a few more than usual and apparently have a social structure... Hunters and bitches.
Basically, the beggining is great. As the film goes on and the action kicks in it gets progressively worse, to the point where there is even a samurai sword fight between the Yakuza member and the predator...
I don't know why but this scene really gripped me.
Picture this, its midnight and the moon is shining, the yakuza gang member suddenly has a change of heart whilst fleeing with the others...He stops in the field they are running through (in the middle of a jungle - god knows). Suddenly the wind picks up blowing the long grass around his feet, he takes off his suit (lol) and reveals his sword (chinese music kicks in) he turns around and sees the predator...A battle begins, they both die. Some people start sobbing at the beauty of this moment, I cry inside at the death of this movie.

Well the agency has closed today, she said that they said they have proof, but didn't actually show her. From what i can gather from these websites, it's up to the landlord rather than the agency, even if he claims that they never gave it him
I'll let u know in a second, cheers for this help btw
Ok she has the receipt of the deposit transaction between her and agency, the agency claims they have proof of trans between them and landlord
Ok and so will they need to produce proof of that?
Quick question, a friend of mine rented a house through an agency, they are French. The deposit was £150 which she paid to the agency, the agency was then meant to pass the deposit on to the landlord.
She is leaving England soon and so the house rent is over. When she tried to get the deposit back, the landlord said the agency never gave it to him, the agency are saying they did and can't help her.
Where does she stand on this? What can she do?

Hello all, I recently listened to some ICP (Insane clown posse) just as a bit of nostalgia, seeing as I hadn't heard them in about 5 years or so and was amazed to find that some wierd cult has been formed around their music.
I've had a look on wiki and urban dictionary - the latter gives some pretty funny and abusive descriptions - and have found that this is actually a pretty big cult in America.
I mean we have wierd shit in England, but it just seems to be a whole new level in America.
So i was wondering, is anyone here part of this?! Or have you ever seen one of these 'clowns'? - excuse the pun.

It's had pretty poor reviews, 6 and 7 out of 10 in most places i have seen. To be honest, after the playing the demo i really failed to see why all this hype was being created for the game. Reading some of the articles on IGN you would be fooled into thinking that crackdown 2 would be the game of 2010 - had they played the demo?!
Crackdown 1 was fun for a while, but overall it was OK - not great. Crackdown 2 basically the same, except you can kick a little better and you have a few thousand mutants after you at night...

It has been announced that Tony Blair, the man who led us to war against Iraq has been awarded the Liberty Medal.
People who are awarded this medal are: 'men and women of courage and conviction who have strived to secure the blessings of liberty to people the world over.' - http://constitutioncenter.org/libertymedal/about.html
Don't get me wrong, Tony Blair did do some good in Northern Ireland however, there is no way in hell he deserves this medal after all the blood shed his actions caused in Iraq.

The US Supreme Court ruled last week that giving support to groups listed as terrorist is illegal, even if that support is designed to end violence.
The upshot is that work to end the world's ongoing armed conflicts through peaceful means - mediation support, or training in how to peacefully resolve disputes - comes with a risk of 15 years in prison.

The quiet diplomacy with IRA and loyalist paramilitaries which helped bring about the Good Friday agreement - meetings, training seminars and facilitated dialogues - would now be deemed a terrorist offence.
Those who engaged with the Sunni Awakening Councils in Iraq may, it turns out, have been breaking the law.
And those who are currently supporting the Afghan or Somali governments' policies of engagement with their sworn enemies could be at risk of prosecution.

So you're saying there will be an optimum level of population?! The reason they die in Africa is because they do not have the resorces, it would take a lot more in the western world. But this still conforms to what I originally said, once the population gets to big and there is not enough food to feed it, people start to starve and die.Cybargs wrote:

Below is the US military’s schematic, a map of the counter insurgency strategy, that shows what U.S. troops hope to accomplish in Afghanistan.

As the number of deaths amongst British troops has risen to 307 this morning, i decided to do a bit of research as to how many civillians have been killed and just how many British soldiers have been injured during the war.
The results are pretty shocking, especially as the press always tend to hide the number of injuries amongst our forces. I want to show everyone, not only the huge sacrifices our soldiers are making, but the massive loss of life amonst the afghanistan civillian population.
The stats i have found are from the Guardian website: http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog … itish-data
As of 31st May 2010 the number of British casualties currently stands at: 7919
• Firstly, you have the Noticas numbers. These are the most seriously wounded cases, where the family has been informed the wounded person has been "listed"
• Then there are the people registered at field hospitals - which go from the seriously to the lightly wounded, from all causes, violent and otherwise
• Lastly there are the personnel who've been evacuated by air, which could be serious combat injuries or illnesses such as dysentry
As of the 7th July 2010 the number Afghan civillians killed: 8669
injured: 15,604
Of course it is tough to get the true number of civillians killed during this conflict and you can bet that the MOD will be keen to cut those numbers, but even from these estimates, the loss of life is shocking.
Personally, I don't think this war is worth it.
If anybody wants to find the US injury stats feel free.

A rapper is tying up police emergency lines by bombarding a force with nuisance calls.
He dials 999 before rapping to operators at Greater Manchester Police - who are not allowed to cut him off.
Despite officers blocking more than 60 sim cards, the man has plagued them since January 2009.
In the past three months he has made 700 calls, some lasting up to five minutes, costing the force £1,000 a month.
Supt Karan Lee said his "inappropriate outbursts" are putting "lives at risk".
During many of the calls, the operator answers the phone to be met with a barrage of music and rants.
His rapping is difficult to decipher but during one call he started shouting about his citizen's rights.
