Hello fellow BF2 players. I heard recently on Kotaku that there will be a new patch out sooner or later and that got me interested enough to get back in the game.

However, I am unaware where most of the community (both BF2S and general players) are patched on? I forget which is the last official patch and I hear news of a beta 1.5 patch.

Should I be getting 1.41 or is the server population good enough to try out the latest beta patch?

Wow this is quite suprising.. I was under the impression 1.40 was FINAL and the game had been abandoned.

The link you provided me with shows me a patch which requires the 1.4 patch to be installed.

I seemed to have installed COD4 in a awkward place (D:\Program Files\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare) since the 1.4 patch says that the setup cannot find the installation.

Is there anyway of patching without having to reinstall to the default location?

Have not felt a notable change really.

The sound of Karkand was calling me, everynight when I went to bed all I could hear was "Grenade! Ammo here! Alright your good to go!"

So after a very long break from this game, I decided to come back.. Probably noobified but what the hell.

Long story short I was wandering:

- what is the latest patch out (is EA/Dice still pissing around?) the one I have in my folder is 1.41 FULL

- Also does this game run on vista ?

Ive stopped with this game all together. It is really boring, if the desire to go on is just for some rank or medal then I really think you need to go out and buy another game.

Perhaps you could make it counter strike  -esque

meaning that you could use the money earnt (doing certain objectives/killing etc.) to upgrade on better parts

throwing  idea.

I would have to agree with you, even though the maps are balanced they lack that really nice detail that karkand or clean sweep had.

How difficult is it for you to look up?

Makes me feel alot more talented when there are people who would spend money of a computer playing for them.

Well I had an PNY 6600gt which lasted me over a year before I sold it.
Then I had a PNY 6800gt which burned, did not even overclock it. Lasted about 6 months.

Crazy thought but she could try the touchpad on a laptops keyboard.

Use her thumb to mouse look and the rest of her fingers in the keys around here.

It would be hard but I guess she will get used to it. Or a sore thumb I do not know.
