Well it looks like thy still have compatibility issues as i lose connection to the server every couple of hours and after that every few minutes untill i restart my rig, and now it seems when the round ends it says there is a problem with your connection and half the ppl left our server because they thought it had crashed, however i do feel gameplay overall has increased and i am happy with the feel of it now!

Reinstall it happened to my clan mate yesterday he reinstalled and all was fine

My fiancee seems to enjoy it, i had a look when she was playing and was impressed with the graphics, didnt really get a chance to play it for myself though

I've taken to plane whoring and i try to keep my deaths at 0 for each round i play gives me a challenge and improves my overall k/d, plus it helps me get my hours up so i can get the last 4 veteran badges (tank/transport/chopper/aviator)

Is the development still a priority or is the Dev team only working on BF2142?
Will there be another beta patch to test?
Is there an expected release of the next beta version to test?
Has a date been set to release the 1.4 Final patch?
Has feedback from players been taken on board and issues discussed?
What can we expect to be different between the beta and final patch?

copperhead suits me best, but my lady uses a diamondback, each to there own i guess

well it does let you shoot through cockpit glass so they both have their advantages, plus sometimes its more satisfying to blow someone away with the m95, just seems more evil

you need to unlock the regular bf2 sniper unlock before you can unlock the special forces one

Go for number 2 i have one and its awesome loads of room in it, plus i just unscrewed the green/purple thing and used the regular thumb screws for holding in the pci cards, plus the front has a funky glowy name badge, and it has a removeable hdd cage at the back and one at the front which has a fan attached to it, both hold 3 hdds too. Plenty of room but with all windowed cases ya gotta tidy your cables otherwise it looks a mess. Oh yeah and its got loads of room

As viper said thats the best graphic quality you will get from the game as its on the highest setting, i know cos my two 7800gts are constrained by the game i think a 6800ultra runs everything on high maxed out but i dunno what the fps is like, i get around 125fps on mine all maxed at 1280x1024 at 75hz but im hoping to get a new monitor so i can go to 1680x1050

My BF2 and SF discs have gone the same way too, i had to buy the deluxe edition for when these discs wont work, and i like to keep everything pristine and always place discs back in the box when im finished with them!! Glad to know im not the only one then but it kinda sucks they give us second rate discs, mind you we did get an unfinished game too so it sorta balance out

Maintaining the same level of wtf-ness as the original poster has anyone heard anything about the "usuable toilets" on 2142 yet? Yes it would be cool if the player had a wrist watch but then what happens when you are playing a night map and it says its midday on your wrist watch?

Maverick: Well thats what i had to do it wouldnt show up otherwise, i realised after 10 minutes of clicking the next unlock screen with nothing happening,lol.

j5689: i like it what i do is use the pistol for long range then when i get close up unload the p90 works a treat, however i only had the engi or AT too choose from and i figured the shotgun was good enough, depends what ya got left to unlock

EDIT: looking at your unlocks i personally would go for the P90 and the L96A1

I got 2 when i got promoted, just remember you need to play the kit in SF if you want one of the SF unlocks, i had to play AT for a round on SF to get the P90

sixshot: i have been giving the widescreens a lot of thought and hooked up my pc to my hdtv for a look and i dont think my aesthetically bias eyes could cope with the pixel drop and as puckmercury said bf2 isnt really suited, however bf2142 might so thanks for the food for thought i may wait till i get my hands on that before buying a monitor!
