Good advice Zimmer. Just been through this thread again after some time away and I gotta say your userbars are awsome. The animation that you have added looks great. Ive got a few karmas up now so Ive come back to give you the one I promised earlier in this thread.zimmer92 wrote:
well, then animation is good, although a bit mesmerising, the reflection is too hard, lower the opacity and the text is a bit illegibletupla_s wrote:

Thanks for the heads up on these cards mate. I have one burning question that probably has a reasonable answer...why have you had so many of these cards, especially in the short time that they have been around for? Have you had to replace, do they fry, do you own that many computers or have you SLi'ed / Crossfired these cards to warrant using that many. If it is because the crads are actually "failing" could you please give us a run down on why, I might save myself some dollars on an upgrade that I dont really need, but really want...EvilMonkeySlayer wrote:

I have owned TWO 7900GTX's and THREE X1900XTX's.
Just read the updated post. Thanks for the further info mate, and good explanation. +1EvilMonkeySlayer wrote:
The reasoning behind going between the X1900XTX's was that maybe I just got a bad card. However the flickering issue is the same on all X1900XTX's on my machine. When I got another Saphhire card I tried the 6.5 beta's and noticed the issues were fixed so I decided to keep it.
Darky...That sig is awsome...Darky wrote:

First song is Boom remix, second is Spitfire by Prodigy, third song is Feuer Frei by Rammstein.
Oh, and as far as I know, that footage was c7.Redux, formerly Redux|Team9, not Osk (unless he changed his name >_<)

Hyper. Can you please shed some light on how you enabled co-op mode. I have been into create local server, but still dont get an option for co-op. I dont get any bots in single player or conquest. Any help would be appreciatedHyper wrote:

Yep. I always DL the full patch and have never had a problem. Mates have DLed the incremental and have had nothing bbut headaches, and then had to download over and over again.Angel_Raven wrote:

Don't download the incremental, it's a broken piece of shit. You have to download the full patch if you want it to work right.

I have AMD 64 X2 4400 and dont have a drama. Try setting your affinity to either CPU 1 or 0. I have also played a couple hours in the new maps and theyre sweet.elmer1082 wrote:
I think he is refering to the x2 line of AMD 64 bit processors, not he Athlon64 line. Because I have the Athlon64 3700 and I've had no trouble, I've just played all 3 new maps.
DOH ! you're talking about windows 64 bit OS.
Sorry.
I dont usually post in forums but I felt the need to here.$kelet0r wrote:

Cooling is a must, 14 fans in my systems, CPU never breaks 100 degree's. Pretty good for a fan system (Going watercooled next.)

Read this for info on configuring Windows Update. I had the same problem a while back and fixed it this way, hope it helps.Cheddarmuff wrote:
Did you disable windows updater....that has been the bane of my existance...everytime it comes on I lose the game. If I wait until it has run I can go for hours...
Now if I can only figure out how to turn it off...
Gam Man, if using a dual core CPU (AMD X2) you can try running on BF2 on single core only. CTRL ALT DEL out of game and in task manager under process tab right click BF2 then set priority to high. Right click BF2 again, click affinity and uncheck CPU 0, close task manager and restore BF2 from task bar again.Gam Man wrote:
I can play for roughly a half hour before bf2 just crashes to the desktop. No warning, no symptoms, just pop! This happens EVERY TIME I USE THE GAME, single and multi. This is identical to AA's crashing *event*. For them it was an error in the engine, it would hit an infinite loop.
