A company called Wolfking will be selling the Wolfclaw II and the new Wolfclaw devour (stand alone fps kb) in the US.kR4MR wrote:

BTW PDScientific will be releasing the WolfClaw gamepad soon for those who don't want to buy a whole new KB
Website is up but most links don't work
Wolfking is basically Wolfclaw/PD Scientific in the USA.
Prices will be better (less shipping than from Singapore) and I think they are releasing a red (ati) one and a green/black (Nvidia) one (just the colors are the graphic card manuf. colors no branding or any useful purpose).
Should be out spring/summer 2006
ExtremeTech has a recent article out about Wolfking (I think I like the name Wolfclaw better and it is cool to tell people when they ask "what kind of keyboard is that?" - that it is a custom gaming keyboard imported from Singapore:) ) ha ha

I have the base model
I love it but have not done any fps comparison of before and after (I can say that my PC is the same or faster than before so I am happy)
Overall sound quality is excellent
Excellent with speakers and very good with headphones.
There have been some issues with X-Fi and BF2 re: lagging when you have Ultra setting and you get a lot of sounds at one time (ie - lots of action plus beside an acustically reflective wall) - I have not had these problems as of yet.
I play support with the PKM a lot - first time I played with new sound card the action was limited so I was on the map for about 3 minutes before I saw an enemy - went prone - fired the PKM - jumped out of my seat because the sound was so different from my on board card - just freaked me out.
There are lots of reviews out there and I know you have probably already read most so I will not provide any links.

Great for games
Great for movies
Great for everything
but BF2 does NOT support widescreen (as stated above)
I have the 24" Dell and I love it but it does stretch my image a little
Monitor native is 1920x1200
game is 1600x1200 so a 320 pixel stretch
For a game that supports wide screen you just get the benefit of seeing more of the action/playing field - no drawbacks just benefits.

I have the base model X-Fi music extreme or something like that.
Used to use on board sound
Big difference in sound but not sure it is really worth the $ now that I have it.
There are some lag issues with the X-Fi esp with 64 player maps or when it gets pushed to the full 128 voices.
Overall I like it but if you have an old Audigy - it may not be worth it?

I think that sums it up - we can never build the ultimate system because the next day it starts going obsolete.
My point was more from a cost point of view - saying I have dual 7800 GTX 512 cards is great but if they perform like shit then is that bragging right really worth it? No.
2 weeks from now I will start posting what I have amassed so far in terms of parts and at this point I am now looking at RAID 10

Thanx
The ASUS ones are impossible to find, the Albatron one is only on eBay (if you are lucky), and the ASRock uses crappy OST and Taicon capacitors which doesn't bode well for its longevity.
Good luck!
I would either sell the card and buy an AGP one or upgrade mb and processor - I guess the first since you are tight on $

Yes but see here regarding Ram and processor info
Its a bug - I was playing the other night on Leviathan and I started to shoot this guy (with red name) and text and voice came up saying that crap "hold your fire"
I stopped shooting him, he started to shoot me, I saw the red name again so I managed to blow him away.
I am not sure if I got points for it or negative points as I had a bunch already. I did see that he was listed as dead on the other team right after I killed him.

I know everyone is going to flame me but I just suffered though that movie.
I am not sure what the point was - it was just a bunch of guys running around and not really doing much of anything - Land of Confussion is a good title.
I did like the some of the video editing/effects but they were not enough to save this thing.
I could never do what you did as I do not have the time or the skill necessary.
Was there any sort of point/plot to the movie (ie. script or what to do) - it just looked like people ran around and did what they wanted to do and you filmed it all.
Sorry.

Ya that is good - and makes sense but did not answer what I was asking so here it is again using your little chart.Ali wrote:
No it shouldn't. Why? Chuy doesn't save this kind of data. He just takes the recent enemies and victims and compares them with the victims and enemies of your opponent. If they don't match they show up in More Victims or More Enemies.
Example:
A kills B 5 times
A kills D 3 times
B kills A 3 times
C kills B 6 times
D kills A 4 times
A:
F.V.: B
M.V.: D
W.E.: D
M.E.: B
What if E gets added into the mix - the rest of the chart stays the same as you had it.
Example:
E kills A 11 times
A kills E 10 times
A:
F.V.: E
M.V: D
W.E: E
M.E.: B
So my question is why doesn't B (that was F.V.) move down to M.V. as he has been killed by A more times than D and why doesn't D (that was W.E.) move down to M.E. as he killed A more than B?
I was thinking it would look like this
A:
F.V.: E
M.V.: B, D
W.E.: E
M.E.: B, D

I have it but only run it when needed or once a week/month - if you leave it set to startup with Windows your system will be as slow as shit from a bull moose!
Try disabling it and you will see a HUGE performance/speed increase.

My worst ememy used to be {DsM}SongofWar[BoC] killed me 10 times.
The other night playing Leviathan PF-CleavageSweat (14) and I kept killing eachother as neither of us would give up the sub pens.
He is now my worst ememy (and Favorite Victim:) ) with 15 kills but {DsM}SongofWar[BoC] does not show up any more (ie. in More Enemies section) even though he has killed me more than others in my More Enemies section.
Whats up with that?
Shouldn't {DsM}SongofWar[BoC] be moved into the More Enemies section?
Thanks,
ps - I just checked {DsM}SongofWar[BoC] stats and I do not show up on his list anymore either?
He has killed some else more than me (ie. he killed Kev75 14 times) so they are his new Favorite Victim but shouldn't my name show up in his More Victims section?
It is not that I want his name to be on my list just want to make sure things are working as expected.

Just because I have it does not mean I want to blow it.
I have built a ton of computers and all I do all day is tech - so I know most of the options just wanted to get some feed back.
also - Note the title of this thread - Dream Gaming System - it is still a dream and from what I have read about the 7800 GTX 512's - they will be gone soon enough as Nvidia and ATI launch their new boards with new processing tech - so the system may stay a dream until those new cards are out!
I run SCSI at work (RAID 0 and 5) but is the gain of SCSI vs. SATA worth the price premium - that is the real question - not just blow $ for the sake of blowing it (I would also have to get a SCSI RAID controller = $$ compared to a RAID controller for 3-5 SATA raptors).
Say one other question MoW - Why do you post on every single topic?
The last 2 nights I have come into the Tech section and your name was on every post?
I read some and they were good - but some of your posts are like "suit urself" - not to bug you but posting on every single topic seems a bit much. Thanks for some of you posts though!

Yes this is how it works - this has been stated many times here - it is the average of your team mates that are alive.
That is why when you do not win as commander your score before the game ends is your score - no one on your team is alive so you get zero points (just points you had before game ended).
When you win most of your players will be alive and so you get the average score and a nice boost to your command score.
It sux to lose because you can play for an hour, lose and only end up with 10-50 points where the winning commander gets his 10-50 points plus the average of his team and ends up with something like 100-150 points x 2!!
Happened to me last night - I had 55 points and winning commander got 155 x 2 after a solid hour of game play.

Unless you find some pure steal of the century you will not be happy trying to run BF2 on an inexpensive laptop. I have an old Gateway laptop with a 17" LCD (before widescreen) and an mobile ati 9600 (I think) - and have bumped ram to 1Gig - will not run BF2 smoothly at all.

Not sure if newegg ships there. As for 150 vs 300, SATA 300 has faster transfer rates, but 10k drives have faster seek times, so in my opinion they are pretty similar in performance. Haven't heard anything on the SATA 300 10k drives as of yet, then again never really looked. Running RAID 0 config will net you faster transfer rates and seek times, so I would recommend two raptors in raid 0 at the least. I'll do some research on the differences of the 10k SATA 150 vs. the 7200k SATA 300, performance wise.
I would find it rather strange that the Asus A8N32 SLI Deluxe - would have problems/issues with SLI since "SLI" is part of it's name.
Seems simple enough and no problems reported in other user forums.
