Just a quick story of computer noobishness.
I was using my friend's laptop the other day and noticed that there was a blob of discoloration along the bottom of the screen. He was surprised when i mentioned it to him and couldn't figure out what could have caused it. He said he had never put a magnet there or hit the screen or anything like that. Then he mentioned that he had a habit of placing his cell phone at the top of the keyboard next to the screen (like where the power button usually is). D'oh!
So yeah, LCD screen + cell phone = /fail
