Gone Baby Gone was his directing debut. I taught they were both deadly, he's a better director than actor lolMacbeth wrote:
I thought the Town was pretty good. Maybe it's because of how familiar it is to HEAT.
On an interesting sidenote, it was Ben affleck's directing debut. So yay for him.

Ironically the real IRA are the group that the above articles and lostfate mentioned, the split from the Provisional IRA who themselves split with the old IRA. Not to be mistaken from the IRA from the Republic of Irelands war of independance the majority of which went on to be called the IDF, very complicated stuff lol
There's also CIRA, INLA . . . Probably more but I cant recall

That was a splinter group.
Second ones crap, they dumbed down everything for the console versions. Still, ive high hopes for the 3rd.
Wish they'd show some gameplay lol

Its set in Canada and theres no nuclear disaster (though the whole story is a sort of criticism of mans destruction of the environment, specifically in the Soviet Union as thats where the authors are from). Aliens visit earth and leave behind a load of stuff (artifacts) which scientists are very interested in so Stalkers enter into the area (the zone) through a military cordon to find them , which is very dangerous due to anomalies etc.
The games only really take the idea of the artifacts and the zone itself from the book. There's no factions or government experiments but its a deadly book and very short, if you like the games its well worth the read!

China abandoned Maoism in the late 70's, I doubt they go round supporting the remaining Maoist groups these days. Though India's a rival so maybe.Mekstizzle wrote:
I think it's the other group, the Maoists/Communists that did this one according to the news. The country isn't going anywhere if it can't deal with the Jihadists from Pakistan and the Commies who are probably aided by China.
Out of the 3 games in the series I taught this was by far the most stable, I only had one problem near the end. Drove me mental lol!
Hope you get it sorted, its a great game.

Whiskey, the cause and solution to all problems.
They just do UN peace keeping or peace enforcement like there current mandate in Chad. They also assist the police from time to time. The only war they ever fought was the war of independance over 80 years ago against the British and there last major engagement was against rebels during the 50's in the Congo.
I know two guys who are currently serving members of the Irish army who have applied to join the British army for what they see as a sort of adventure. I dont think there;s anything really wrong with it because at the end of the day there Irish and will always put there homeland first regardless of what oath they swear to the Queen.

How has no one mentioned "War and Peace"!? Its brilliant but you'll need some free time to get

Its the 40th anniversairy of My Lai as well, Its strange how Haditha recieved so little coverage in comparsion but I suppose a lot less people died.
It sickens me how people can do that but you can only imagine the stress they're under. This line of the investigation of My Lai sort of haunted me
its probably relevent on some level to Haditha as well.
"Calley and Meadlo were firing at the people. They were firing into the hole. I saw Meadlo firing into the hole.
Q: Well, tell me, what was so remarkable about Meadlo that made you remember him?
A: He was firing and crying.
Q: He was pointing his weapon away from you and then you saw tears in his eyes?
A: Yes.

I taught you laughed off those old bombers!? Chechnya is an internal conflict against Islamic radicals who are evil nasty people. Its has'nt been proven Alexander Litvinenko's murder was state sanctioned though Russia has not co-operated in the investigation. Crime is a serious people in several countries the bulk of the worlds heroin comes from Afghanistan and its proved difficult to stamp it out. The cutting off of Ukrainian gas was an attempt to pressure that nations government but only because Russia feels a need to retain a certain amount of influence in eastern Europe. Many countries act in such ways when they feel there interests are being threatened. That anti-Putin protest was not crossed but it was obviously un-democratic to suppress it.
Im not saying there whiter than snow, but there's far worse!

There seem to be a lack of interest in the Tibetan situation but it must be hard to get people there to cover it.
Id say Iran as its clearly a sponsor of several terrorist groups including Hamas.
"Russia-crushing dissent and causing general mayhem" - Thats a bit harsh is'nt it? They might suppress dissent but I cant recall them
opening fire on protests etc. Whats the general mayhem?

Its more humane than execution you could argue! Go on Putin, clean that place up
Hey man; I myself was in this exact position once (well maybe not exact);
I dropped out of college and am currently an electrician. I didnt know what I wanted to do so
I chose to become an electrician as its a great way to see the world and the pay is good. And
while I certainly enjoy my job, if I could do it all again id have finished college first.
Maybe defer entry to next year at college and get a job on the sites and ask some of the older
electricians what they think. Its a big leap from college to full time employment!!
Best of luck bud, hope it works out! Just ask loads of questions to relevant people

Palestine would have to have an economy to trade with first, its entirely relent on foreign aid!
Its ironic because in Mexico's on going fight against the drug cartels the police were removed and the army sent in
as the former was said to be too corrupt, now the latter aint looking too good ether!
In the same report the Mexican army said they would remain in control in certain areas until the police were cleaned
up which they expect to take 10 years! Your border guards best get used to it and exercise that right to bear some
serious fire-arms!!
(The article was on Reuters but I cant find a link, sorry)

This thread should have been called China wants Taiwan! But alas Taiwan is real close to the biggest kid on the block. So the China men must think of a way to bypass this kid indirectly as at the moment they dont have his cash flow. That must be what the anti-satellite weapon is about. Modern armies are so relent on them for communications and fire support, getting rid of them may level the playing field somewhat.
Still you have to wonder what they hope to achieve while there being so out spent. Most real conflicts come down to cash at the end of the day.
Whats the saying go like:
"amatures study tactics, professionals study and leaders study economics" (Sorry butchered that!)
And China has'nt got the cash.

My friend was'nt allowed to join the army if he had laser eye surgery in the past regardless of how successful it was. So he waited until he was in the army to get the operation, strange rule's!
Worked reallly well for him, hurt for a few days and then he was great.
