What's your luck like? All it really boils down to
I like this a lot. Rockets has got an Interpol feel to it, and Cover Me is pretty catchy. I've got a lot of time for bands that don't fall into the generic Indie persona. The Fire Man seems a bit repetitive, like it's been strung out, lyrically and the guitar riff used, which is now stuck in my head repeating over and over. Also, it feels the song is heading somewhere, but really slowly. Personally I like the ending where there's a bit of a drop, but it's too little too late.
Any chance you could provide us with a download link?

Haven't ever really sat down and listened to Johnny Cash. I think hurt is a fantasic song though. I think I remember reading somewhere that his final studio album is due to be released

Here here. Fantasic to see Arctic Monkeys do something different from their last two albums. Potion Approaching and Dance Little Liar deserve a mention as well.seymorebutts443 wrote:

For me, it's got to be Brand New's latest album
I recently discovered these guys from the Legion of Doom incorporated album, one of their tracks had been mixed. Instantly downloaded everything I could find from them and loved it. Then saw them at this years Reading festival, and got a taster of what was to come from the Daisy album and it sounded promising. The long and short of it? Fantasic album, every song. Elements of post-rock, classic alternative, and going back to the routes of their career with a dash punk-rock. Considering all of this, this record still seems to retain an aura of grace.
Used to be one of my favourite albums. But whenever I seemed to mention British Sea Power to anyone they'd never heard of them. And yeah this is one of their better albums, a couple of them are pretty wank
Sounds nothing like Arctic Monkeys, reminds me of the Kooks.Reddhedd wrote:

Like: yes/no? It's a fairly unknown band that lives close to me, I just discovered them and love their sound. It's a bit Kooks mixed with idunnowhat
I've got really into a band called Brand New recently, i saw them at this years Reading festival and didn't really rate them
Anyone know any other bands similar to these guys
The Decline of British Sea Power - British Sea Power
Judging from my last.fm they are:
Radiohead
The Libertines
Legion of Doom
Babyshambles
Beatles
Brand New
Oasis
Arctic Monkeys
Idlewild
Prodigy
However, if this was favourite music artists it would be a completely different list

If you haven't heard it already, their remix of Omen is probably one of the best ones out thereThe Sheriff wrote:

Also, what the fuck at the dubstep scene-idiots saying Skream is high-tempo.
You do understand by definition that dubstep is half-step, right? The whole point of the genre is it's SLOWWWW.
skip to 1.26 for the drop.

Chase and Status, Legion of Doom, Prodigy, Rise Against, Skream, Telemetrik, We Are Scientists, Pendulum, Klaxons are all pretty fast tempo'd - but I have no idea what you're looking for. You can get fast tempo'd electronic stuff, but it's complete wank.

So, I'm thinking about writing a novel.
I was an English major in college and I realized that I haven't really written since then. A friend of mine wrote one, got it published, and it was actually released today. I'm thinking I want to do the same thing.
So today I started. I'm writing my outline, trying to piece together how the plot would work.
Anyway, has anyone ever written a book before? Or had something published? Your experiences, I'd like to hear them.
Oasis' version of 'I am the Warlus' originally by the Beatles is pretty good.
Bought myself a pair of 555s the other day. Pretty pleased with them - just need to shorten the wire
I use powerlines for my home network. 4 of them - two PCs one for the TV (bt vision) and one connected to the router. Initially i was having a lot of problems getting them to communicate with each other and i messed around with the buttons on the adapters and somehow, someway they found each other, then adding the other two was relatively simple. It seems like a real pain getting the initial two communicate each other and with the router but after that it's pretty easy.
And yeah it's far better than wireless I'm over the other side of the house to my router so it's ideal, i think the speed of the few i've got are 150Mb/s, and it's just plug in and play now.

i've got these, and actually, they're not half bad.west-phoenix-az wrote:
A little late, but I purchased some of these a few months back. They sound good, no issues. My only complaint is that the wire for the right ear is longer than the left. Its designed for the wire to go around the back of your neck. No big deal though.

Actually. Porsche was owned by VW until about a year ago. Porsche played the stock market and made billions then bought a 70% stake in VW.ghettoperson wrote:

I've been to Italy once, only to Rome a couple of years ago. Honestly you could spend days in the city and just take in the sites, we did a foot-tour of some of the cities sites - normally I get bored on these sorts of things but this was really interesting, the tour guide made it ace. If you have the extra cash I would definately suggest doing this.

I always hated snow-ball fights at school. Either i'd forget gloves or when i did bring 'em they were really bad and i couldn't make a proper snowball; so i did it bare-handed. After 15/20 minutes all i wanted to do was to get the feeling back in to my fingers.
