I have a microphone with a built in speaker for one ear. I also have an XFI sound card. I want to be able to hear ingame sounds and music over my xfi soundcard, but I want squad and commander VOIP output to be redirected to my microphone's ear piece. Is this possible?

Hey all

I recently bought a new LCD HDTV from newegg, as part of their black friday special. It is the Olevia 37" LCD HDTV, and this TV has a VGA port! Really cool.

I've been trying to launch battlefield 2 with the TV connected, though I am having the common problem "black screen, then shuts off back to windows desktop"

I have tryed manually setting the resolution to start in by enterting "+szx xxxx +szy xxxx" in the shortcut properties, and tryed setting the game to 60hz, which I believe it is set at.

Battlefield 2142 runs without a problem, which really bothers me, because BF2 is cooler than bf2142.


Any help would be much appreciated
(BTW, I have done some work; spent about 30 mins. googling the issue before resulting to the forum. No flaming )

Yeah, I was deffinetly looking for the best bang for my buck, as I'm still a high school student, and mommy and daddy don't pay for my things (Heck, I have to pay the internet bills, as they don't use the internet!)

Did you get that TV delivered from Newegg? I was kinda skeptical ordering a big TV off the net; I dont have the greatest trust in UPS or Fedex. If so, everything was fine I supppose?

And I'm still on the hunt for a PS3 too. Can't find em anywhere!

It's an Olevia 37" LCD HDTV with 480i/p, 720p, and 1080i. It features has lots of tv inputs on there, and the best being the HDMI and the VGA! I'm physched that it has VGA. I'm hosting the Christmas party this year at my place, and I cant wait to entertain them with BF2 and 2142 on a 37" HDTV.

I thought this was a great price for the TV, and I've heard nothing but good things about Olevia.

I decided to go with the clark ladder. It WAS very frustrating, and damn near came down to an ini-mini-minee-moe. After realizing all the nifty things support comes with, (sentry, ammo stuff) and considering i'm more of a foot soldier/combat kinda dude, I decided to climb the clark.
Thanks to all that gave me some insight on the unlock packages, and special thanks to Stormeye. I considered much of what you had to add.

'Till this point I've been doing my best to make my own unlock decisions, but since I'm primarily a weekend player (occassionally a weeknight just to goof off half-1 hour with unlocks) and i'm starting to reach the bigger point spreads to the next rank-ups, I need some guidance.

I believe I have 8,200 points or so, and my next jump is near 9,800...something like that. I have 2 unlocks waiting in the queue, and would like some help for my decision:

What I play Primarily: Titan Mode

Most played Class: Recon

Kit Unlocks I already have: Recon - ALL ----- Assault - BAUR ladder + Revive thing ----- Engineer - NONE ----- Support - NONE.

Player abilities ladder - the first 3 (the sprint things)

Squad leader unlocks - NONE


the squad leader unlocks don't really interest me, as I'm usually a squad member, and the top unlock in it (floating thing with guns) never ceased to impress me to much, after watching people use it.

The extra ammo for the pistols and grenades interest me a bit...
But I was REALLY leaning towards climbing a new ladder for the guns. Of course, for the guns I want, the stuff in between is junk. I was really looking to climbing for the engineer PILUM or maybe the support CLARK

Any opinions and help would be much appreciated!

I dodged a missle of some sort by squating. It really impressed the squad I was near and the guy in the gat on the walker, and it probably won us the silo

In the badge section theres a badge that has a meter/bar that says how many explosive kills you have gotten. I managed to get 301/300 today total, but expected to receive something (Like the GOLD version of the badge) but got nothin.

Am I supposed to get somethin?

So, the intel ads didn't bother me much until today, when I started shooting at it.

When I was unloading upon the billboard, I noticed that it was the only object in the game immune to bullets. After shooting clips upon clips, there was not a one bullet hole in the board! I tryed shooting out the URL, and of course, nothing. This is ruining my experience, obviously. Not being sarcastic.

I'll give you a touche on this one, but I would say it was bit of a different case, as his records were (not under his will) pulled up by others. Kerry's came straight out of his own mouth.

A Network Interface Card for gamers

So I just saw a commercial on G4TV advertising this NIC card, and first thing that screamed in my mind was GIMMICK. It's an NIC card "for intense gamers" and they try to justify its $300 price tag on the site with a diagram similar to that of the physx card. It shows energy flowing through the GPU, CPU, and an NICPU. Am I the only one calling bullshit on this thing? Seems like companies are wanting a share of the NVIDIA/ATI market and want to sell bizarre components to "enhance" our gaming.

What's next? A PCI card that enhances every component in our PC by 25%?

The only thing they need to revise is the X and Y coordinates. What VECTOR the titan is taking, and WHAT acceleration (should be constant). After that, determing what is aboard the titan is other problem. Why don't they go back to looking at how the computer started calculations such as these; "ON" "OFF". 1010001001000101011100000

As a correction to my own statement, I guess I should be pointing the finger at Dice, as I just remembered they're the head dudes in the coding section of this franchise.

Come on EA, this one is really stupid.

If you're going to add the all new fangled up titan mode, you could have programmed the physics within the game correctly. A player aboard the titan should be RELATIVE to the titan, not the ground. I can't count the number of times I'd stand next to a corner of the titan when it's accelerating and drift through a wall, thereafter receiving the messege "Fear58 is no more".

I give EA some credit, as this is really the only thing bugging me right now. Oh, and the map Minsk. Honestly, what do you all see in that map? It sucks.

As you all experience your "theatrical experience" sprinting off the titan after blowin' up the core, I'm chillaxin in the back getting all the frags that are running after you all. With the nice +titan offensive points

I installed BF2142 on my C and same as the patch, as I have no other drives connected. No go.

I'm sure these are all the pictures you'd ever want to see of the 64mb bf2142 dog tag.
Don't get me wrong, it is cool, specially since they dont make them anymore and only a few got em.

Hell all, just a generic question regarding the EB GAMES, GAMESTOP promotional "rank-up" that was included with my shipped game today.

Is it possible to wait to the deadline (I think it said March, 2007) to enter the code? This way, it saves the uselessness or ranking up a dead easy score like, I'm assuming battlefield 2 was (you know, the first easy rank ups? like from 500 points to 1000, then 2000, then 5000, 10000, so on....)

What I'm asking is, should I/is it possible to wait till you get to that next hard jump, say 50,000 points to 100,000.

I think this is a wise choice, although the Jackhammer + MP7 combo sounds sexy as well

If I got the Jackhammer + MG36, I would Have these guns total:
ALL the original BF2 guns + F2000, G36E, MG36

What do you guys think?

Thats tight, I didn't even consider i get two unlocks with me owning SF. This brings up a new discussion lol. Well, I really dont want the SCAR, I have used it, my cousin has it, we both hate it. Like one person said, its just boring. I think I deffinetly want the Jackhammer after using it a little today, But now I don't know if I should choose my 2nd one being the MP7 or The MG36! Hey yall, new here. I have quite a issue.
So I sit at 19950 points this morning, and my upgrade is coming up. Now I'm not a dude that plays this game during the weak, and I SOMETIMES get to play saturday and sunday, so this very well may be my last unlock ever on this game, unless of course another expansion comes out. I want to choose wisely.

So I'm debating on my next gun, since it could be my last weapon of choice:

I can either choose the Engineer Jackhammer shotgun, the Scar-L, or the MG36.

Now, I wasn't really favoring the Scar, I'm very happy with my G36C. On another note, I hardly play engineer, and never really liked the kit, so I dont know how much action my Jackhammer would receive, on maps other than like Karkand and Sharqi. I was always more so leaning towards the MG36, but I think the PKM stands as a badass gun as it is. I have been doing a little research in Ubar, and it don't help me much, they're all perty good guns.

If you guys would help me, it would be much appreciated. Thanks
