Thats why DriverCleanerPro has been downloaded 4,500,000 times...because it's useless and will cause "issues".
Like I said before, you don't HAVE to run a driver cleaner but if you wan't a clean install you will. If you don't mind Windows overwriting newer driver files with older driver files from the cab then knock yourself out. In most cases a half assed driver install will be fine. For the other times......well, you can always blame it on your hardware or dev. software.

I highly recommend running DriverCleanerPro between driver installs and especially when switching GPU brands (it's free and very simple to use). Also included is a tool called Cab Cleaner, a program that will clean the cab files. After installing from a service pack windows will overwrite driver files with older files from the service pack cab's. Cab Cleaner will remove the ATI and nVidia files from the cab.
If you take your gaming at all seriously, why wouldn't you take a few extra minutes for a clean install of your drivers?
I've got no interest in Bf2142 whatsoever. I play BF2 because I like contemporary war games, I'll probably drop BF2 and play Armed Assault when it comes out.

As others have said, go commander on Dragon Valley 64, with 24 players. Get 50 points on winning side and it will double up to your 100.
Or another approach play Dragon Valley (same size map and players as above ) and spend the whole round capping flags. Don't go for bases that are being taken, always try to get in a car and drive to a quiet base well behind enemy lines. Either that or use the transport choppers to get to a quiet enemy base and cap it.

2.25 - mainly from flag capping.
I hate the "jump out" thing too. But the other day on Dalian I hopped in a chopper on the USMC carrier and got told to get out. I told the pilot to drop me over the land and he did. So I got a lift to the action and he got his buddy in the gunner seat.Dr_3V|L wrote:

My weakness is paying too much attention to stats and other people accusing others of being [place kit or weapon here]-whores and [place kit or weapon here]-spammers.
I find that when I just dive in the game and play I enjoy myself, and depending on the skill of the other players I get the odd gold medal. I tend to play a variety of kits i.e. respawn with whatever is required by the team such as AT, Medic, Repair. And I throw myself into flag capping without thinking too much about KDRs.
As soon as I start listening to the "stat-whores" and 1337-ists my game goes to shit and I end up allowing SPMs, KDRs and the fear of being called a [place kit or weapon here]-whore to dictate my style on the battlefield.

My biggest fault is dropping arty on an enemy that actually isn't there any more ;-)

Ok m8, so you boot from the XP CD, you press F6 to specify additional drivers and the setup continues. A while later it asks you to press 'S' to specify additional drivers. Are you able to select the drivers from the floppy at this stage? In other words when you insert the floppy and press enter do you get a list of suitable drivers that you are able to choose from?swedge wrote:

Have you initialised the RAID array in the RAID BIOS? Usually with RAID you press a key combination at startup like Ctrl-G (or similar) and you then enter the RAID BIOS. Once you have assigedn the drives to an array you can then initialise the array ( not all RAID BIOS's have this facility ).swedge wrote:

Make sure you have the right RAID drivers on the floppy and boot from your XP CD. Press F6 when asked so you can install the RAID drivers.
As you go through the installer you will get to a point where you can specify additional drivers. Make sure the floppy is in the drive and select the XP drivers. Note: sometimes the floppy will have drivers for Server 2003 or 2000. Make sure you pick the right one (XP).
Other than that it's business as usual - follow the rest of the XP install as you would.this is where it stops. i see all the info at the bottom of the screen saying its installing or copying things but it just stops and goes no further, i have the correct raid drivers because my mobo has an option to make a windowsxp 32 or windows64 raid floppy. i have windows 32 btwAs you go through the installer you will get to a point where you can specify additional drivers.
