But he can hear you, some people really don't use their headset. What I was talking about:HellHead wrote:
Be aware of the angle of sight !!!
Other than to real life ( close to 180°, I think) the player only has a sight angle of like 90°.
Always keep that in mind if you approach another player from the side, for whatever reason !
Especially if you´re in a vehicle howling ass down the road...The reason why the other guy doesn´t stop running across the steet in front of you is simply because he´s NOT ABLE TO SEE YOU !
If the tank or jeep really couldn't help it running you over, don't punish.
I thought of another anoying one. People intend to run just infront of your tank (you can break but usually it's allready to late because you couldn't see them coming). Do watch out a bit when you tend to cross the street, you should be able to hear your tank moving, if not, you're a n00b.
And if you accidently got hit by your own tank, don't punish right away (this also counts for people trying to C4 the enemy tank/APC and a teamm8 shoots it down with a tank/APC.

Do not run towards the commanders artillery. It's no power-up!!!
If I play as a commander I usaully try and get in a jeep or boat or whatever, depending on the map I'm playing, This works out pretty good. If there are no vehicles available, I'm sitting in a TOW or so.

Last night I played this for the first time and it was difficult but I think that if you'd play this more and then get back to normal BF2 you'll get loads more kills.
More info about it:
Project Reality is a modification for the Battlefield 2 engine. The developer's aims are to rework the original game engine developed by Digital Illusions of Sweden (Dice) to recreate a realistic combat environment. This includes adjusting the game's various elements that include physics, visual effects and gameplay. Along with changes to how the game handles, the PR team intends to include additional factions such as the British Military, and add to or alter existing factions so that they resemble real life military elements found within their respective environments.
The name 'Project Reality' is not solely for the purpose of throwing around a catchy title. Project Reality's team has a group of dedicated individuals, several of whom have backgrounds in armed services. Whose sole task it is to provide researched findings and statistical information to the developers tasked with creating the mod itself. If you are looking for a fact based FPS shooter from the perspective of a Soldier, Project Reality will be there to cater to those needs.
Inspiration for this modification has come from interviews BF2 Developers have participated in, to quote:
"Battlefield is all about fun, action-oriented gameplay. We'll leave the truly realistic experiences to the mod teams who thrive on that type of action." (DICE, source)
"Battlefield will always be first about fun and secondly about realism. Realism implies complexity." (Sean Decker, source)
Here are some very basic features that this mod will demonstrate once released.
- Kill Indicator Removed (e.g. Player A has killed Player B)
- Eliminate Friendly Indicator
- Realistic Ballistics (Bullet Drop, Speed, ROF)
- Longer Spawn Times (So hold on to your life)
- Realistic Damage (Goal is that damage to different hitboxes has different outcomes)

I usually get the question if I'm from the UK because of my accent, people don't believe I'm Dutch, lol.
Ahwell, taht's what you get after spending loads of times in the UK.

Lol, some people can't stay on topic...
People tryed to vote me off loads of times. Mostly someone on the opposing force will start a kickvote because he was trying to capture a backbase and I put arty on him. It means you're doing well.
Lately I play alot on one SFserver and people allready know when I'm the commander (it's sometimes me against this guy called BigShip).
Aslong as the people on your side don't help to get you kicked, no worries. Oh yeah, the other day a 14 year old n00b started with: Commander, plz stfu. I can't hear anything (I was using my VoiceComms to let people know what the enemy was doing). Then he started a vote kick. He only got 1 vote, then a SquadLeader put up a kickvote and he got kicked in 2 minutes haha.

K, here goes. This weekend I wanted to get my Veteran Sniper Badge. I didn't have the badge in normal BF2 and also not in SF.
Fridaynight I started playing SF to get some Sniper time which I first had to made. I got the ammount of hours necessary for the Veteran Sniper Badge.
On Saturday I had the needed time and decided to get the badge in SF. All went well and I got the badge. The weird thing is: I got the badge while playing SF and it ended up in my normal BF2stats. So on unday I checked my stats and I didn't have it in SF but in normal BF2. I was like: WTF? I got it in SF and it's showing in normal BF2? On the SFside of my badges it showed that I still had the BasicSniperBadge.
Then I decided to check something out and went as a sniper again on SF and tryed going for the Veteran Badge again. I got the ammount of needed kills and got the Badge again.
So, if you play SF and you don't have the badge on normal BF2, you'll first receive it there and then you have to do the same thing again for SF?
Another thing:
I got the 5 hours of playing as a British SAS for this ribbon but it's still not showing that I got it. Do I need to win as British SAS first or how does this work?

That's true but I use it when I see a red dot near one of my fellas. If a squad is near the red dot, take it out..ACB|_Cutthroat1 wrote:
i find it annoying when the commander continually shouts "Enemy troops spotted" "Enemy Forces Spotted" "Enemy Armour Spotted" "Enemy Helicopter spotted" "Enemy APC Spotted" "Enemy Vehicle Spotted" "Enemy Air Assets Spotted" ok well you get the drift
I also spot when I want to know where a car is moving to so I can take messures against it.
I've got my nice shiny golden commander badge.
Get on a small 16 vs 16 server (because on the larger servers there are usually people outranking you). Be the commander, help out if needed (for me it was usually engineer). Use a headset and VC to coordinate attacks with SquadLeaders (I got loads of compliments this way and when a n00b decided to put up a vote mutiny against me they usually get laughed @).
So: just play, help out where you can. Keep spotting!!! Some commanders don't spot enemies which can be really anoying.

Also depends, did you win the round?
If your side didn't win, no 2x because that is only for the winning commander.

You forget one of the most important rules of the sniperkit aswell: Don't stay on the same spot to much.
Als commanders in RL could do heatscans on which they can see you very clearly.
If I see someone near my base as a commander and no squad takes him out, I'll do the job myself.

A month ago I got banned for CarC4ing.
There were an enemy tank and apc whoring around on the square at Karkand and repairing eachother so after getting shot there I sneaked around them, got behind them, planted my c4 on both. Got a savespot and trigert the remote: b00m!!!
After that there was the message: You have been banned. Reason CarC4...I was probably killing an 11 year old admin who decided to ban me for a n00breason. Can't take the heat? Don't join the fight....

Ah okay, I've tryed it last night with C4 aswell and wanted to know aswell. Good post, good answer.
It could be a couple of things:
-If you have glasses: clean them.
-If you use contacts: Did you put them in?
-Is your computer overheated?
Sorry, just couldn't resist

Sorry to bring your hopes down, but this is stat padding. Nobody is going to check when you received your knife badges and nobody knew and probably didnt care if you were doing it for fun. To a normal person its suspected that you are stat-padding.
Meeting up with a friend of yours at a certain spot and knifing each other over and over and over again?
Sounds like i want a badge.
You probably wont get your points back.
Sorry to say
Even if you allready have the badge, it sounds like statpadding, and how would you know where to meet him and no=one else would interfear...Well?
A nice movie, good quality.
Nah thanks, I'd rather do it this way.

The most exciting thing for me is:
Playing BF2. The GF coming upstairs wearing just a small piece of cloth asking you to play with something else!
As for your GF, if your girlfriend actually has to ASK you to go have sex with her, It's kinda sad. Considering how ugly a girl has to be to do that.
Ahwell, as the killstreak, I got it as supply on a Karkand 24/7server. Me and my squad on a roof and not even with nadespamming...I guess you were the fella on the other side getting killed.

*cough* *cough*...Ehrm, what to do? Call in sick and play BF2? Nah, not this time.
I sometimes start a squad called Team&Voice because some people do use the VC. It really helps out.
A few days ago I finally found a decend server on which a few people use the VC and give teamwork.
It's a small server so I'm not giving the IP or so.
Suggestion: Just look for a good clan server and play on it often.

They think its like a power up. Just like moths to a flame, they also think the artillery is like a power up that gives u health lol.
It allways goes as this:
You as the commander see an enemysquad moving up to a certain base and you give several teams an order to intercept or defend the flag...No squad responds. Then the flag turnes grey and you allready decided (since no squad is responding) to put artillery up there. Then all of a sudden a jeep with a squad speeds up to finally defend the flag. You as the commander: Artillery, your are...(no responce)...Artillery, your area (still no responce)...Even VoiceComm doesn't work and just as the artybarrage hits, the team is near it...
The nice thing is, they ALLWAYS blame you for the TK and you get those whiners putting up a vote mutiny against you. Sometimes I hate being the commander. People should keep their eye out on where the arty strikes.
Good job on the badge. It's quit difficult to get sometimes and can be annoying.
The other day I got banned from a 24/7 Karkand clanserver. I decided to select the commanderrole as it was still available. So, the round just started, I put up the UAV, *You have been banned for illegal use of the Commanderrole*
So the stupidserveradmin wanted the commanderrole for himself (previous rounds one of the clan of that server had the role). He could have just asked or put up a vote mutiny...Cheers Mr.Admin! Next time get a higher rank then mine...

BF2 is not an arcadestylegame. I do wonder what you think are the actual problems of BF2.
I'm with Tin_whisker on this 1. I have the silver knifebadge and it is one of the most rewarding badges I got.
