I just bought a new PC. My last one had 512mb RAM. This one has 2g's. The guy who originaly started this thread, i had the same problem as him when loading Bf2. Almost exactly. Now its almost instant. I cut through all of it in less than a minute now. Im playing on max settings. Im even able to play DooM3 on Ultra High settings now. Amazing. Ive come out of the stone age and seen the light, no doubt.

I came on here about a month or so ago and asked for help in building a PC. I wanted one that would allow me to play my games at thier max settings as well as do the numerous other tasks i use computers for.
I got a ton of feedback from this community and alot of my questions were answered and provided lots of help in making my choice.

Im more than happy with my selection. Ive never seen BF2 look so damn good. It has dramaticly improved my gameplay as well. On my old system i could play BF2 at its lowest settings. It would take so long to load sometimes that when i finally made it in, there were no spawns left to enter the game. I have loaded maps and never played the round, MANY TIMES. Now im one of the first ones in the game. Before whenever i went to take aim on someone, i felt like i was playing underwater and had to struggle to get my cursor to follow the fluid movement of my mouse. Too many times i would swing my mouse/cursor and over shoot my target, in some sort of slow motion annoyance. Now im picking em off... and what seems to be easily. And the sound... OMG the sound. I have an XFI sound card and there isnt a word to describe it. Im loving this shit, bigtime.
I wanted to come on here and say thank you to everyone who helped me decide what to buy. Its like a whole new expierence.

I hear ya Metaltop, its a game and it should be fun. But when you take the time to sign yourself up for some team play competition, you are putting the "fun" factor on the back burner in place of serious competition. Although, if you follow the basic rules of any ladder, you can still have your fun, win or lose. Some people just cant handle the stress leagues can put on a team. Its happened to us, many times. Right now im playing BF2 on another teams roster because my team cant take the seriousness needed to be part of league play. Simple things like entering PB GUIDS is just a small fraction of the whole in any league. It has to be for it to be a success. Ive seen far too many leagues crumble because there was no structure. Its all about following the rules... and that means all of them.

Not once have i spent time "running for 30 minutes doing nothing". 1 step out of town and theres plenty to fight. But with the right people adding it to thier list of favorites, it could be a very fun server. We arent kids and dont run our server as if we were. We are open to suggestions as far as map rotations go. Whatever it takes to keep it full. Look it up and help get something new started.

Being a good commander will make it look like theres a cheater playing. Untill you blow up the Satalite and UAV, The commander is the all mighty show enemies we have all grown to hate in other games.

Thats what did it to me. I had to take my Audigy 2 out and put a cheap SB Live Value card in, and all was fine.a new soundcard.

And leave out the skits. They were original with Snoken's movies. Anything tried by others just doesnt compare. As far as stunts go, make it a "Tanks Only" Stunt movie or something like that. Maybe a bunch of dune buggies. Stick to one vehicle... i think i'd go with the tanks. We have just about seen everything there is to do with a jet/helo.

The arrows are WSAD by default, and where your pinky rests, same as on the N52. I actually find using those 4 keys you mentioned easier. But hey, to each his own.
I couldnt play without it. I have been using mine for a good year or so, everytime i try to play without it, i cant. With a keyboard i feel like my hands are incredibly huge. My fingers are so cramped and close together, I actually feel my hand making a position that just feels wrong.
As soon as i lay my hand on the N52 its spead out and relaxed. All 14 keys are easily accessable, with the exception of keys 12 and 13. Maybe its just me, but its difficult to press those keys in a clutch moment.

you dont really enable it, its more like you just create your own demo.
While in SP, open console and type

First, i think its a good idea. I plan on buying them all when available. Dont be so damn cheap. Its a good game, support it and we will continue to enjoy it. If EA loses money on it... well, no more updates and the game gets filed like the rest of em. Keep it alive as long as possible. Again, its a great game.
And second.. do you really expect EA to can what they have already invested in? Its a done deal, your petition is too late to matter. You think all of what we have seen from these booster packs are artists renditions? The first of the booster packs are all but finished. Advertising is well underway, Box's already printed... im sure, if anything, they are just tweaking it before release.

I made that FPS Doug sig. A long time ago. Nice to see it still kickin. Looks like it was resized though. Same font, same scene, start to finish. Sure does look like mine, but than again, its FPS Doug, so its possible theres a duplicate out there.
Try it slow, than pick up the pace. Its all in the click. Practice man, practice.
