Please note that this is only if you want to have like a dedicated box at home.
If not
x10hosting is pretty good for freehosting.
In regards to your website making, try and steer away from tables and the like, try and use div's and CSS.
i use wamp for my home server
i did mention it doesnt give you epic flexibility, but most functions for php/mysql are all readily plausible.

Some problems go away by them selves.
No I haven't tried safe mode, but I know I haven't installed anything recently that would do this.
Hm, I've never experienced any of those problems with my 5870.GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

At least no more of the grey bars issue with latest few driver sets.
It's not Firefox because it happens in other browsers...

My last few ATi cards seem to throttle down the clocks when at idle... if I monitor it with GPU-z, they drop to like 50%. But as soon as I do something, they go back to correct speeds. Maybe this is what is happening...
So, as I browse websites and click links and stuff, I keep getting a popup in a new window, with a url of search.google-analytics.com ... and then it usually redirects to google.com
I use Firefox 3.5, but tried other browsers and I get the same thing. So I figure it must be a nasty that I picked up somewhere. I scanned with MalwareBytes, and Avast, and no threats found. What the gay?!
It's freaking annoying.....any ideas?

That takes longer than just waiting a second to click the right window lol.
Well that's a very annoying solution.... lol.
Thanks for taking the time to figure it out, but I guess I'll just wait for a better solution. C'mon Microsoft, make it happen.

I love the way the Windows 7 taskbar is, with the small icons. I like the way they group, very convenient for when you have lots of stuff open.
However, there are times when the grouping just isn't practical. Is there a way to ungroup specific programs? For example, when using X-Fire if I have more than 1 chat window open I have to hover over the group, then select the chat and I'm pretty lazy tbh.
Yes I know you can ungroup all of them, but that's not what I want. I want the rest so stay little icons and grouped, with only the ones I choose to be ungrouped.
Possible...yes? no?

There's a bunch of services you can disable in XP, but most of them are already set to manual and aren't running anyway.Finray wrote:
Hmm, not much you can do with XP. It's pretty barebones as it is. With Vista/Seven you have a tonne of shit you can turn off..
I did a little google, look through some of these
http://www.tweakxp.com/performance_tweaks.aspx
Then of course you could make a lightweight nTune install, but that probably won't make too much difference either.
It's funny how all the Vista-fags always jumped up to defend it when people say it was bad, just because they thought they were cool to run the newest O/S, or maybe it was because they thought they were leet to make it run as fast as XP (which...it doesn't...ever).Freezer7Pro wrote:
While you often are wrong, Finny, this takes the price. If you disable all the services in Vista that aren't active in 7, you pretty much end up with the same OS. If you're still going at it, it just proves that you used XP while the rest of the world were using Vista.Finray wrote:
Hahaha Vista. Almost as bad as someone running XP.
But then Windows 7 comes out, and all the Vista-fags still defend Vista. Why? Windows 7 is what Vista should have been...Vista was fail.
And yes, I did all the super leet Vista tweaks to disable services and bloatware and boost performance, but it still ran slower than XP, and still runs slower than my Win7 which I haven't touched.
Oh, well... I can see that then.steelie34 wrote:

Yeah but anywhere you pay with checks or credit cards, you have the risk of it being stolen. You could use your credit card at a restaurant, or walmart, or wherever and they could remember the numbers.steelie34 wrote:

im sure paypal is secure for everyday use, i guess i'm taking a very paranoid point of view of online banks. i just don't trust the industry, since it's so prone to attacks and blunders. just because something could happen, doesn't mean it will... of course i could always get hit by a bus walking down the street; doesn't mean i should stay in my house all day.
If you're that paranoid you might as well use cash, tbh.

Try disabling the second screen so you only have the primary screen.
I just install new ones over the old ones. I think drivers have advanced to the point that you don't have to fuck with them to update anymore.
