Yeah, they can be. Mine has some more work before she's really quick. I have some tuning to do. And I'm contemplating a full engine rebuild when I come into some more money. But that'll take a while.Mitch wrote:

Not that I've heard about? The only downside is the initial infrastructure investment since there is very little use of hydrogen in transport right now. Trucking it, filling up, and having stations costs a ton.Cybargs wrote:

I'd say it's very important. Furthering the technology and application of computational programs is only going to help us out.
This is correct. Efficiency is the most important thing. The more people you have furthering something, to a point, the more it will expand. You'll be finding ways to make things work better. And that's useful, well, pretty much everywhere.Flaming_Maniac wrote:
You need to have a basic idea of how the program works to use it.
Our book is designed to be used in conjunction with matlab, we don't but it's the same stuff. I mean they aren't going to just teach you how to enter data, you'll be looking into ways to accelerate the process. One of the many subjects we've been learning.
I have respect for Stewart, but I don't find him funny. Colbert is pretty good. I don't watch either on a regular basis.
Bill Hicks > Dennis Leary with Hicks' material. However, Leary's stuff is pretty good too. Leno > Letterman. Dave's been bad.
Oh wait, what are we talking about?
Colbert, as a person, is funny because his shtick of conservatism and general demeanor make him really quite laughable. (BTW, conservative leaning person here) I just find some of his jokes aren't really that good.

When I said progress, I meant doing their jobs. I don't like where the law leads us, but I'm sick of seeing everyone fighting with each other. Get in, vote, get out, shut up.
The opposite of obstruction. Getting something done besides yelling at each other.
Everybody is avoiding progress. Everybody wants to stick it to the other party.

That's exactly it. Give him a script, a policy, and some stories to throw at you, you have a very compelling argument. Health-care. Haiti. Bailouts. Energy. Iraq. Taxes.11 Bravo wrote:

In this case, you can't go back to him if it breaks. If things don't go according to plan, it's the manufacturer's fault. Someone didn't do their job. Someone messed up. But not the man who sold it to you. Not the man who convinced you that things would be better if you bought into the plan. I have nightmares of there being a public outcry, should health-care not work out (as I fear it won't) and the only people at fault, according to the White House and the media, will be the primary care physicians and the insurance companies.
Nobody will blame the administration who implemented the broken system.
I don't' know about you guys, but I'd go get my money back if someone sold me a piece of shit car.

Did anyone see the immigration rally yesterday? The ink has not dried on the healthcare bill and we are already facing amnesty, rammed down our throats just like healthcare reform.
And, why was healthcare 7% of our economy when hillary tried this and it is 14% now? Could it be all the illegal aliens using emergency rooms as a ppo?

That's the deal where Dell shaves off about $800 from the price?
And no. I won't be off until late August, but I would like to get it a little while before then. But I don't have to buy it tomorrow. I've got at least three to four months to shop. But I like to focus on these kind of things pretty far in advanced so I can really decide what I want.Smithereener wrote:
But, do you have to get the notebook now? Because I believe Penrynn is due soon and might yield some notebooks that might pique your interest. Then again, that Dell deal expires at the end of this month (I believe) so I suppose you'd have to get it while you can.
Okay.
So the time to go off to college is approaching, and I need to secure me a laptop that will adequatley handle whatever I will throw at it. We're talking something that'll be able to handle music, movies, minor gaming, and multitasking projects and above all, engineering applications. This thing has to work hard for me.
Price (which is still unsure, as of yet) should cap out at roughly $1500 USD. That's the maximum that I can afford.
Another sell point for me is that this system is small. The max size I would consider would be a 15" screen. Any larger and I'd rather lug arround a small desktop.
My search so far has yielded one system, which I really do like: the Dell XPS M1330.
In case your unfamiliar with the system (or don't want to click on the link I provided), it's a sub 4 lb, 13.3" thin laptop with amazing capabilities and a pretty sharp look, in my opinoin.
Specs of a system I've customized include:
That equals $1,524 USD.
Thats the best I can find.
Now, to what I'm asking for.
I'm requesting help to find a laptop system that falls within my wants for a system needed at college. You see an example of how I'd order the Dell (a side note, I'm not afraid of having a pre-manufactured or custom built system, anything will do); I want all the available options on the table before I make a decision.
Hard Drive size is not an issue, I will mainly rely on seperate, auxillary drives to store data. I want this sytem to run quick and painlessly.
Thanks in advance for whatever help you can give me.

If you think you can control yourself, those bikes are alot of fun. And going fast sometimes is fun too.
But don't be doing 120 in a 35. Your asking to have your life taken from you.
Best of luck on getting your motorcycle liscence though. I'm going to try to get mine after college.

Kid down the street from me has one of these:
And he's let me take it out. Quick bike. 60 mph from a standstill in under 3 seconds.
But if you want to go with a sport bike, be careful. It's easy to do something very, very stupid on one. If you don't realize what you're doing, you'll be dead. Period.
