Seriously though. Catch was probably the best game ever. Really paved the way for how we play games today.
fucking serious this is.
Wow, my first thought was this chick looks and sounds like a man. Then sure enough....
Way too old, not charming or 'merry', and zero chemistry with Blanchett (Lady Marion). Crowe as Robin Hood was the worst part of the movie imo.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
Isn't he a bit old to be playing Robin Hood?Spidery_Yoda wrote:

Nothing memorable. Nothing particularly bad. Just a standard forgettable film.
Episode 10 was pretty good. It's cool seeing what happened to the characters after the series during the credits, but I still didn't even know who half of them were by then anyways. Also, not knowing who the veterans during the intro to each episode were kinda ticked me off, but being shown who they were at the very end was redeeming.
Robin Hood - 3/10
I knew it wasn't going to be great based on the previews and the reviews were generally negative, but it was even worse than I expected. There were 6 of us, 4 of us hated it but the other 2 thought it was alright, suffice to say they aren't my friends anymore.

lol when it shows the audience. Random old white dude just standing there in the second or third row.
What a great game. How often does a game keep you laughing all the way through while still being innovative and fairly challenging (compared to other recent games). Plus one of the greatest credit rolls ever.
My favourite part of the series:
I'm enjoying it, its not great though.

I assume it means 100% strikeouts.

Should be a website for Victoria Cross recipients too, some of their stories are pretty epic. Look up a bloke called Charles Upham - only combat soldier to ever win two Victoria Crosses.
This one is only Canadian recipients and all the stories aren't compiled.
Then there's always wikipedia

Not to take all the credit, May 4th is Intergalactic Star Wars Day.
Yes, help me beat my karma to day ratio as well.

There's just something about the spring and bastard children that allows them to go hand in hand so well.

It's ok, it got a little repetitive after awhile.

Ya pretty graphic. But most of the series is based off of Sledge's book (With the Old Breed) in which he doesn't hold back on the details.Winston_Churchill wrote:
Well that was unnecessarily gory...
Grandfather's (Mom's dad) brother was an air gunner in the RCAF in WWII. He became a training sergeant to train British air gunners in Canada, but they lost (at least one) engine in a training exercise and everyone died. He was 18, and my grandfather was only 16 so he couldn't enlist.
Grandmother (Mom's mom) had a few brothers serve in WWII. Its been a while since I've talked about it with her so I can't remember where they served.
Grandmother (Dad's mom) was in the Canadian Forces Postal Office in WWII as well.

Same. Maybe that's because I've always imagined Iraq to be a 2d plane though.

They have some renowned programs so I guess they take that as an excuse to kick your ass for 4 years. It's quieter than most other universities in terms of parties; if that affects your decision.Stimey wrote:

I'm most likely gonna be accepted soon and want to where I should go.
Accepted for engineering? I'm in math which is a constant ass-beating workload throughout the term, whereas engineering is more heavy ass-beatings during midterms and exams.

Last night, tonight and tomorrow night my exams are all 7-10 PM. Most retarded setup ever. Then another Friday morning, 9-11:30. Friday afternoon can't come soon enough.
Indeed. My aunt used to live in Owen Sound. You could go and see Billy Bishop's house, which is now a museum.ebug9 wrote:

I bet he teamkilled a lot to get a plane so that he could rack up that kind of score.
I nulled as well. I think part of the 'decline' is due to the fact that as you grow older you lose the child-like fascination of video games and become obsessed with issues like playing perfectly balanced competitive games. (Not that wanting a balanced game is a bad thing)
Some of my fonder memories were of playing nintendo games like Mario and Zelda then talking about them with friends at school.
