just out of interest, do you own a hi-fi with a record player? Was wanting to invest at some point... some of those tracks you've submitted over the last few pages really use that last low octave, that only really comes out through vinyl. Just wonderingUzique wrote:
if you're partial to (deep) house music or have had your curiosities roused by the recent house-crossovers into all strains of bass, garage and dubstep, then look no further this summer than the back-catalogues of Dial records (or its Laid imprint).

house music doesn't get much more sweet than this
taking it over auto-tune for sure.Gooners wrote:
i can just imagine erykah badu's vocals laced over floating point's mellow beats, wowsers. fatima's vocals are pretty solid, but her voice goes flat at times
Agreed man, but it's nice to see him expanding and trying out new shit. That's what being an artist is all about I guess. Gonna be interesting to see what kind of things he'll be doing next, or in fact any of the minimalistic/electronica scene.Uzique wrote:
complextro? never use that term again. amon tobin's earlier stuff is way better. the new album is over-done and has way too much in it. he should have stuck to his earlier, organic IDM. it no longer sounds organic and natural... it sounds like he's thrown everything in the blender, and it has the opposite effect on his craft: instead of admiring the hard-work and attention to detail, you're bemused by it. i thought it was a rotten listen... especially all the bass elements.
As a fellow Scotsman, I too, approve of this movement.Finray wrote:

almost like saying 'FLAC or gtfo' and then only listening to deadmau5...
SSD and i7 and then finding you only play games from 2008, anyway...

wouldn't it suck if you went out and spent 3 grand on a PC and the game ended up being awful?Airwolf wrote:
Definitely buying a new system exclusively for this game.
I remember when bf2 came out and I still had my shitty family PC with a geforce 5500... those were the days... waiting at least a couple mins to verify client data.
No more, I want this to be the best experience since bf2, and it shall be so. SSDs are a must tbh
I'm digging his return to progressive, his hardware and style are perfectly suited to it. His dubstep sucked and I think maybe he realised that. It's a nice preview of what's to come, really looking forward to his next album.
kinda cool, but got like 1 in 10.Sturgeon wrote:
