The site being down for so long was a sad reminder of it's slowly approaching demise. I'm really going to miss everybody here and I wish everybody a happy life. I spent a good portion of my younger years here talking and gaming with you guys. As this site dies, so does a part of my childhood in a sense. That may sound a little more dramatic than I feel but I will miss it.

Firewood? I live in Southern California you don't just find heaps of good wood to throw in a fire lying around like I did in Switzerland or camping in Northern California. It's very urban. That wood wasn't usable for any of the projects we would have as the shortest dimensions we'd have to cut range from 25 to 30 inches. Thanks to my new construction job I have a ton of leftover lumber that's too short for us to build anything with. Most of the pieces of wood were 2x4, 2x6, and 2x8s which were about 20 inches long. I loaded the back of my truck with at least 50 pieces of really good wood, called up some good friends, bought ingredients to make smores, and headed to the beach tonight to have a bonfire. It was great, we had a wonderful time, and I still have enough wood for at least 2 more big fires.
It's an extra hundred-fifty bucks and the difference between the two models is pretty small. An extra 5 megapixels isn't worth $150 to me and the speed of the phone's processor is just fine to me. I also like smaller phones, so the S4 being bigger is just another small reason not to purchase it.Jay wrote:

Sprint is a really good cell phone provider here in Southern California from what I hear, and they're also the cheapest. My friends who use their service said that they had no issues with connectivity and reception so apparently there isn't a catch. I currently have a shitty GoPhone Android Fusion with AT&T. The phone has a terrible camera, the handling is sluggish, and there is very little memory for any apps, but I'm only spending $30 a month for 250 minutes of calling (more than enough), unlimited texting (which I use extensively) and 50MB of data which is enough for the GPS I use when I need directions someplace.
Spending another $55 dollars a month that I could be using on food, gas, or going into my savings account on a phone instead which would only be used for browsing Reddit, playing music on Pandora when I'm driving, and looking up random things left and right doesn't seem like a wise investment. I can afford it, but I wish it was cheaper.
TL:DR I guess my FWP is that I'm ungrateful for what I have which does the job but I'm here wanting more.
Yeah that's how I felt about the movie as well. It could have been so much better but at least the action scenes were worth the $5 I spent to see it at the movie theater. edit: I enjoyed the soundtrack a lot. This is really catchy for some reason.Ultrafunkula wrote:
