sorry .. didn't really noticed that

so what do I need to do by "simple memory test"; can you suggest any software or other means?

yeah .. it could be a solution, but just partly because if I get BF2 Memory Error saying something about "memory.dll thread 3276 is deallocating main memory thread" I doubt that it has some connection with firewall, but i'l definetely try to do something about firewall

nop .. you got it wrong; I was playing v 1.0 with these errors and then updating to 1.3 which caused not being able to play at all

well, I doubt physical memory has some defects (physical defects), I have had no problems before and memory chips are quite new; what about incresing virtual memery; couldn't that be the point? What do you mena by "bad"?

I updated my graphics card but it still doesn't solve the problem; so here is my system :

CPU Intel Pentium IV 3,00 GHz
RAM DDR 1,5 GB PC3200 (400MHz)
Video GeForce 6200 512 MB AGP 8x
HDD 80GB Ex celstor 7200rpm

Actually I have other problems with BF2 too - playing offline is perfect (no bugs), but as soon as it comes to online it doesn't last longer than 10 min; it's whether some mistical "BF2 Memory Errror" or suddenly back to destop and that's it;

As much as I have read in this forum you have to have at least Ge Force FX 5*** or ATI 6*** to play this game;  so I personally suspect it's really your graphics card that is to weak ..

Well, actually I can't answer that question 100% surely because it's not mention there whether it's FULL or INCREMENTAL; I didn't know that there are different types of patches for 1.3 so I just downloaded 1.3 patch from P2P network; I tend to think that it's full, because it is somewhere around 440MB

Probably, this isn't the first time you're reading about this kind of stuff, but i'm actually new to such stuff and i'm having problems with BF2 patch; the thing is I installed BF2 v 1.0 just yesterday and naturally I wantwed to update it with patch v 1.3, but after the instalation the game even didn't start up (just black screen and back to desktop - as much as I have read in this forum not the first time people encouter such a thing); so, the first thing that came into my mind is that updating from v 1.0 to v 1.3 in one step is not the right thing to do .. do I really need to install all the patches from the beginning (1.01, 1.02, 1.1 .. ) to finally get v 1.3 or it is problem in something else?
