My advice to you would be to find a clan. They will give you the support you need. They will help you learn what your strengths are and learn to play to your strengths. They will also give you the support to cover you weaknesses. Playing just with pickup squads can be annoying. Many people in squads just lone wolf with the squad leader as a mobile spawn.
Change the channel Codec. I beleive 19.5 is what we use. If you use the default (5.something?) it sounds like shite.

How is it different than aiming for the head when they are standing up? When they go prone, you are not killing them unless you hit them in the head. Standing, you can kill them by hitting them in the head, or by dealing enough damage to the body, which is a much larger target. I think I've gotta be the only person I've ever met who hates Karkand. Sadly, it is my most played map, because if our server goes down in population, Karkand always seems to bring a crowd back in.

I've been seeing more and more "Join a squad or get kicked." type servers lately, which is cool. Only problem with it is, same dummies who weren't gonna join a squad are now just gonna join a squad and not cooperate with them.
The best ones I've found (aside from playing with my clan on TS obviously) have been people with mics in a squad. I find that naming your squad "Mic-Users" or something to that effect helps greatly.

So does anyone know (or if not, what do you think) how the booster packs will affect servers? Will a server have to be a "Euro Force" Server like we have SF Servers? If not, how will they handle people without the booster, just boot them off when an EF map starts? Will your server just be flagged while running regular BF2, that EF is needed to join?
It seems like if servers have to be devoted to each mod, we will be seeing very few servers for some of the mods. People aren't going to want to update their server every month or two.

Heh, funny thing is, my system right now is a pile, but I load faster than anyone in my clan because my settings are all on rock bottom. If servers don't have it set up to wait, I can get a tank from USMC back flag to hotel on Karkand before anyone else loads in.

I believe when you die, they stay around until your kit disappears from the ground, although I may be wrong. Otherwise, the time to disappear is comparable to the time it takes an unattended Vodnik/HMMV to be "cleared" by the map.

It seems to me that the issue would be solved, at least partially, if they cut down the ammo supply on these GLs. How many does one get anyways? It seems that you should not have more than 1 or 2. Can someone with real life experience speak as to how many would typically be carried?
