<Twig> I just had an argument with a girl I know. She was saying how it's unfair that if a guy fucks a different girl every week, he's a legend, but if a girl fucks just two guys in a year, she's a slut. So in response I told her that if a key opens lots of locks, then it's a master key. But if a lock is opened by lots of keys, then it's a shitty lock. That shut her up.

You are just making yourself look stupid, comparing stopping a crime to committing cold-blooded murder.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

so vigilantism is only okay when you're stopping a small crime, but if you stop a rapist from continuing his torturous control of you then you deserve life in prisonFlaming_Maniac wrote:

got it.

It's not vigilantism if you aren't committing a crime. Seriously this is stupid.

Your state has a law that allows you to kill a man (technically a crime) if he's intruding on your property. Do you agree with that law?

Hell yes.
Not technically a crime. Technically very much not a crime.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

Obama doesn't just kill fly's.
So you think it's OK to shoot a guy who could just be the god damn electric meter checker for all you know, but it's not OK to shoot a guy who's raped you and pimped you out to other people (essentially rape by proxy)? christ.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

edit: How about that one guy who shot some people breaking into another person's house? They weren't even posing a threat to him. Did you stand behind him? (I can't be arsed to pull up that thread again)

Yeah I did.
Shooting the guy checking the electric meter would be illegal. Shooting the guy who raped you in cold blood is illegal.

So killing two people who are posing zero threat to you is fine by you, but killing a guy who has posed a threat and done horrible things to you isn't?Flaming_Maniac wrote:

And I'm not so much arguing the legality of it as I am the morality of it. I really don't think that girl deserved more than maybe two years, and if anything deserves psychiatric help.

Posing a threat to your right to property.
The best option for her was to go to the police. For her own safety and morality.
