I've had this game for a while, and never been able to play it due to incompatibility issues, but when I heard there was a new patch out I began to wonder if it'd cure the issue. Then I got CoD4 and forgot about 2142. Then I completed CoD4 a month later and I'm back here wondering.
So will it make it work with my 7600GT?
I don't want to download ~350MB to find out that it doesn't infact work.

I never had an issue with my 7600GT and 2142, sure it wasnt your drivers or something?  Dont see any reason why it would work.

BF2142 has worked on my 7600GT ever since the demo. Why doesn't it work on yours?

I don't know, but there's a list somewhere with graphics cards that are incompatible, and the 7600GT is on the list. Works for some people, though, I've heard, but it might just be very slightly different builds of cards.

7600GT works fine with 2142, I dont think the patch makes any difference, 7600GT has worked fine with both it and BF2.  Those lists are jsut the cards they tested, 5200 was never supported for BF2 or 2142 but ran both jsut fine till I upgraded.

My 7600GT works perfectly on BF2, but not 2142. Meh, I'll try a re-install.
