smith and wesson model 60, shoots either .357 mag or .38 special. has a 2 1/4 barrell, and fits in your pocket
Guns are banned here. Both yay and gay.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

You guys are lucky, Maryland gun laws ar SO fucked up! Gotta have a stupid permit to carry a concealed handgun. But you can carry a machine gun under these rules:
A machine gun is defined as a weapon "loaded or unloaded from which more than one shot may be automatically discharged from a magazine by a single function of the firing device."
Possession of a machine gun for an "aggressive or offensive purpose" is prohibited. A machine gun must be registered within 24 hours of acquisition and annually thereafter with the Secretary of Police. There is a $10 fee.
A presumption of possession for an aggressive or offensive purpose is raised by (a) a failure to register, or (b) possession by a person who has been convicted of a crime of violence or by an alien, or (c) possession elsewhere than on one's premises owned or rented for permanent residence or business occupancy, or (d) when empty or loaded shells for the machine gun are "found in the immediate vicinity thereof."
This law does not "prohibit or interfere with" any machine gun which is (a) possessed for scientific purposes, or (b) not usable as a weapon and possessed as a "curiosity, ornament or keepsake," or (c) possessed "for a purpose manifestly not aggressive or offensive."

In TN you must complete the handgun safety class, not very hard just long.
Complete the app for the carry permit, pay the fee, and wait. Providing you do not have a criminal record you will receive your permit.
Just make sure you carry your permit on you at all times and your fine. The permit last for four yrs.

My Grandpa lives in Barbados and is extremely wealthy, so he does have cause for a gun.
He has the FS2000 (civilian FN200) and a .44 Magnum. My Grandma carries a H&K P30.
My Dad here in the UK has a legal Mossberg 500. No idea how. Hmmm?

Smith and Wesson Model 626. Do you feel lucky? Well do ya punk?
I always have my Mauser K98 with me...
Lucky bastards,.. you can't have anything here in Holland and if you do get a license after having gone through a hell of a lot of trouble, time and money, you can have a .22 LR not to be carried.
Desert Eagal .50
Pure awesome.
Or a Glock 21 (.45)

15 more years! 15 more years!
Pity the DEagle is fucking useless in real life. Small capacity. Fucking heavy. Ammo isn't cheap so range shooting isn't as fun. Has a hell of a kick. Hard to keep concealed.
Though, it fucking owns on CSS. As Gene said. K fix'd Gene, I still think the M3 is funny at point blank though. Noobcannons ftw.

22LR has a 34% one shot incapacitation rate (IIRC). If she can place shots well under extreme stress, it won't be a problem... A decently placed double-tap would take out all but the most determined attackers, but those are the kind of attackers I would plan against (really angry/drugged up types?). I would recommend a larger caliber, as there are many concealable weapons that use higher caliber rounds...but that's just an "armchair commando" talking...Where's Parker?Marlboroman82 wrote:
I think I am going to take her out and let her shoot the Walther p22 this weekend. I want her to have something that is easy to draw from the car. Some that is to big would be easy to get hung on the shifter, steering wheel, etc. The cartridge is really secondary because I think anything at that close of range would do enough damage for her to get out of danger.

Edit:
I wouldn't recommend the Walther P22 for a carry pistol. The reliability is hit and miss. She has to carry something that will work every time its needed. I suggest taking her to a store with the widest selection and let her feel them all out. One usually stands out more than the others. If she can test fire it first thats even better.
The only problem with revolvers for carry is the weight and/or thickness.

I handled one in a shooting range once. 7 pounds unloaded, and its hard as fuck to pull the slide back, i had to grip the back of the slidet with my shirt to pull it. I didnt shoot it, but the guy 5 lanes down did, a 350lb solid muscle man that had ripples going through his body every time he shot it. All the bullet casings jumped a inch of the ground, and it had a 2 1/2 muzzleflash. You are right, there is no way you could use it in combat.Flecco wrote:

Yea the gun club we belongs to has a wide range of stuff for us to try out. Like I said I want her to have something small which can be drawn while she is in the vehicle. So there cannot be a chance she hangs the pistol on something like the steering wheel.
I think we have narrowed it done too the -
Colt Defender - .45

Not the DEagle though. I just took a look at the stats and thought... Fuck that. Only pistol I've shot was a 9mm Barretta. Might have been one of the 92 models but I'm not sure. It was a few years back and I only fired it twice so I don't really count it and I base all my judgements on pistols from that one experience so far; not much to go on but it's better than nothing. I didn't like the 92 much. Not enough kick. I shoot tin cans/bottles/feral animals etc with my Dad's rifles. Or used to, and will do again soon. They are still legal here and I don't need to be at a range to fire them.

The Colt Defender .45 and USP 40c are very potent SD guns from what I've heard. The Colt has single stack mags, so it should be a little thinner (depending on grips), but sacrifices 2 rounds to the USP's 10. The USP is DA/SA whereas the Colt is SA only. Does your wife have a preference for which action to use? Do you consider carrying a 1911 "cocked and locked" acceptable? Many people carry it this way, but others think it is too risky and opt to work the slide as part of their drawing motion.
Isn't H&K's USP product line somewhat heavy? I thought they were mainly developped for tactical use; I heard they are rather heavy.
good enough for john wilkes booth
Awwww,.. cute.
