So I have around 60k to spend on a car and those are your choices, if you think that there is something I missed please let me know.
(By the way this is not a poll to find out what car you like, this is a serious poll and I am serious about getting one of these cars, so before you start to flame me that I can't afford it and this is a stupid thread read this)

M3 or the Vette. My dad had the C6 Z06, and it was AMAZING. The M3's a damn nice car too.

I personally wouldn't put the decision on what car to buy for $60,000 on the answers of a forum which specialises in BF2!

But anyway....does it have to be a brand new car? A one year old car with low mileage will knock a shit load off the price, and you'll be able to get a much nicer car.

It does not have to be a brand new car, a year - 2 year old with 20k or less miles is fine.

Out of the options specified, get the 911. My uncle recently took delivery of his, and being a ex semi-pro rally driver, i think his opinion counts for something. He said

Seriously, go with the 911

I voted 911, but have a look at the BMW Z4 M, an amzingly fast car, but with nice subtle not over the top looks. Its easy to recognise the difference between the M version and the stock version, which is always good.

And you'll have a bit of change leftover.

Yea that Z4 M is very nice.

But if you have to choose out of those...go with the Porsche 911.

Altima Coupe. Better on gas mileage than anything you've listed. Clearly not as cool as the others, but cars are the worst investment you can make, so why not run with one that's decent and has good gas mileage.

True, and its actually a good everyday car as well. The ability to afford most of these cars is not the initial purchase price, but the repairs, upkeep, and insurance throughout the life.

9-11 - Best for your buck
Cayman - not going to get enough for your money (upgrades push it to $90K)
Coupe Corvette - selling yourself short (might as well get the Z06)
GT500 - overrated (sorry Ford fanboys)
M3 - Very nice car, would be my second choice (below 9-11)
Altima - the redheaded stepchild of this list

Its not a terrible investment, if you play your cards right, lookafter the car, keep low mileage and purchase a car which will keep its value, then when you want a new car the trade in value will be decent. It saves you from running your car into the ground, it not having any value and then paying full price for a new car.

I know its hard to do this, but if you can its worth it.

Buy a STi.  Go to Stage 4 and still have $5000-$7,000 left over.   You'll own every car on that list and you don't have to have it a summer only car with perfect straight away pavement conditions to drive it.

Do what i'm going to do.   Buy an 02-06 Lexus IS300 manual trans for around 20k and then use the extra money to turbo it.

IS300 has the same bottom-end as the Toyota Supra turbo so you can boost them with having to build up the block.

That way:

1) you don't spend as much as the cars you listed
2) you have more love and pride in your car casue you built it (motor)
3) you have 4-doors and a trunk so you can take friends for a ride and use it every day
4) you can laugh as you OWN Z06's, M3's, and 911's down the freeway all day long with a sports SEDAN.

And do all Americans call a coupe (pronounced coo - pay) a coop?
