Its funny how somewhat harmless actions can turn into large scale things. A ripple effect.
Back in the day, when LOLCATS wasn't the scourge of the intranets, I showed a few of my friends the "Hay guys" image (One of the best images along with Jewcat) We all laughed and went on with whatever.
Now, it seems that just about everyone my school knows about lolcats, I see images with the lolcats.com tag faaaarrr to many times now in emails and IMs, and nobody pauses to think who brought about this change.
I am a bad person for infecting my school with LOLCATS, and being Co-ed, it probably spread to others and so on. I am probably one of the people responsible for introducing the species of lolcats into Australia.
Word of mouth spreads like wildfire.
