Remember the MSNBC poll about the May 3rd debate?  Click here to remember.

Ron Paul blew away the compitition according to user polls.  He did it again in the next debate, even after his tussel with Rudy.  But here, YET AGAIN, Ron Paul is way ahead in the user polls, this time on CNN, and YET AGAIN, he is ignored.

Look at this:

https://img162.imageshack.us/img162/5040/untitled1ul3.jpg
CNN viewers WANT Ron Paul.

https://img162.imageshack.us/img162/7648/untitled2bp6.jpg
According to CNN "experts" the "winners", did the worst in the viewer polls.

What the fuck.  54% vs 13% and these morons are declaring victory for the other two slubs.

But this just goes to further my points and reasoning as to why America is starting to fail, and why I plan to leave.  It is morally wrong in my opinion that it isn't your views, beliefs, political history or how good of a president you may be, instead it is how much money you can raise.  Remember those polls for a minute and look at this for example:

John McCain Profile
https://img162.imageshack.us/img162/1456/untitled3vr3.jpg
Notice how much money he has raised/spent, how nice they speak of him in the profile and it even shows a popularity poll, not against other candidates but only of himself.

Now, look at this:

Ron Paul
https://img45.imageshack.us/img45/1271/untitled4pp2.jpg
Notice how shitty they speak of him, making sure to mention the Rosa Parks and Pope thing.  Then notice the picture, they couldn't find a better picture other than the one that looks like he is yelling at the cat while taking a shit?  Look how much money he has raised and then scroll back up and look at those two viewer polls.

Don't even get me started on FOX.  They had Guiliani plugged as soon as he announced he was running.

This is bullshit.  Fuck the American media and fuck the American political system.

The American media is a big steamy pile of wormy shit.

Reminds me of how they ask Romney if he's had pre-marital sex.
To be fair, the press should ask Hillary if she's ever had lesbian sex and why she killed Vince Foster.

I do wonder though, I mean surely the guys with all the money aren't giving CNN and co. money in order to get air time? Or am I too naive?

I find the profile thing pretty shocking.  Seems like they have very little mud to sling at him so they stretch it as much as possible.  Wheres the mention of his time as a surgeon in the USAF and the air national guard?  Or the medical work he has done some of it for free to people who couldn't pay?  Wheres the plug for his books?  Pitiful.

In america, whoever has the most $$$ always wins, simple as that.  They can afford the most tv spots, and most american voters are idiots who vote for whoever they saw the most on the idiot box.

The money these guys may give them doesn't begin to compare to the money they make from sponsors/advertising. They're not covering Ron Paul because Guiliani and McCain bring in higher ratings. Higher ratings = more money from ad companies. It's all about the bottom line.

That reminds me of a poster I saw in an old history class of mine, which poked fun at various political systems. Their description of democracy was something like "People vote for whoever has the best face for television." So shamelessly true.

Ron Paul is like Perot.

That's why.

However +1 to Paul for not wanting to give the Pope a medal.  Of all the people in the world, do you really think the Pope needs a medal?

This proves my point. It's not about the money they have or contribute, it's about coverage of which candidate brings the highest ratings.

This is how Bush won, it is because he's like the "Average Joe" and he has support from religious zealots.

Ron Paul is a libertarian running for the republican nomination, thats why.  And while most people don't realize it, they're libertarian.  42% of us consider ourselves to be independent.  I'd be willing to bet most of them are libertarian.

Ron Paul (libertarian in disguise) is getting Dem votes in those polls also since he is the least "GOP like". That is something that the GOP can not count on. The Dems can vote for him on these internet sites without losing a vote for their true DEM candidate. If you want accurate predictions of the GOP leaders hang out around the hard core right sites. The Time editor Joe Klein (probably the most neutral editor I know) also picked Guilliani in the second debate. If you check "the right" sites regarding the first debate most say Romney destroyed everyone else.

Here you can see the first debate opinions broken down.

Here you can see the standings:

There is a lot of Buzz around Fred Thompson in the the right blogosphere world now. He is about to announce he is running.

Ron Paul makes so much sense he is considered "unelectable" as Kucinich is for the Democrats. Not sure of the reasoning besides people with such logic and common sense will screw up all the crazy earmarks and laundering scams of taxpayers money that the other fuckers are caught up in. But all of the debates have definitely been biased against Paul. I don't want to hear McCain and Rudy's stance of every single issue. They are fucking nutjobs but apparently they (news org's and thier political leaning CEO's) are going to feed you who they think should be elected.

My favorite part of last nights debate was Ron Paul being appaled by the use of nuclear weapons as a preemptive strike. The guy is so right so much.

If I remember correct Ron Paul was against the war in Iraq from the beginning and he was also against the Patriot Act. It's really not that odd the media don't like him. With views like that one cannot get ahead

Well, yes and no.  Its kind of a chicken & egg deal.  You need money to influence the media via public relations efforts.  You raise money in the grass roots by people believing in you.  People figure you out by public awareness.  So you raise money by being better known, and you have to have money to publicize yourself...

they are not taking him seriously because he's the only one without his head up his ass.

RP is the only one who makes any sense, so the media is afraid of him.

I hope he makes the ticket, I'd sure as hell vote for him.

Agreed...  Paul and Kucinich won't win because they tell the truth rather than what people like to hear.

Politics is just about money and confirming people's prejudices.  So, if you think about it, the American public deserves the shitty leaders it receives because most of our citizens are either too dumb or too complacent to select the best leader.

Democracy only works in a society that is both intelligent and well-informed.  We're rather lacking in both aspects, but I guess you could say that about most of our species as well.
