Thats probably because you have loads of screenshots in the directory. Clear it out, or put them in another folder and itll be instant again.

I had about 800-900 in there, it was taking about 5 seconds (and Id end up crashing helis as a result) - cleared them out, no problems.

Probably because BF2 has to search through to find the next "free number" to use, so the more you have the longer it takes.

I have 1440 x 900 and it doesn't make any difference than when I was on 1024 x 768...
