now i have 1.5GB
now i run smooth as a nut on Basrah

I run Al Basrah just as smooth as all the other PRMM maps. Maybe 10 FPS lower than some other maps but many maps are just more taxing than BF2V ones. PC specs in sig

my friend gets lag on that map so bad with his qx6700 8800GTX and 4 gigs of ram He has i think 8mbp/s internet! he gets like 15FPS for the first two minits in the server i only get like 8 sec of lag on that map with 3800+ 2GB and an x1650 pro

add on the 1.5 gig RAM to my shitty card (ATI Radeon 92000) and i get NO LAG

also superior mind
i can play on some far away servers that run Basrah
like Devfile
that server ROCKS

Yes. A lot.
I'm running on medium settings, with a e6400, a 7600GS, 1 gig of RAM and a 20" screen (completely irrelevant).
And I have the fastest available internet speed in my neighbourhood - 1500kps. Australia's telecom SUCKS.

yes i lag when i start the map and then begin flying, i need to go fly around with a pilot around the map and then i can fly with no problem BUT..I stay away from servers above 100+ ping.

Yes i lag on Al Bashra, but i do on every map. My comp is a little old and it's age starts to take it's toll.
That's why I play almost only as marksman or sniper: if an enemy starts shooting his weapon closer than 401 meters I'll see a nice slideshow of about 5 pictures: 3 pictures of the enemy running towards me with gun blazing, 2 picutres of me staring at the sky waiting to respawn
