My internet is getting very slow.... and at times, it just doesn't work at all, although it says that I am connected to a wireless network. Can someone help me please? Thanks.

Go to speedtest.net and run it, show us how fast your upload/download speeds are.
That will probably help the more knowledgeable people figure it out.

if not how far away are you? how many walls are between you and your modem/router?
it doesn't take much to crack into a wireless network if they know what they're doing, sus out your neighbours, and check for other wireless connections near you it might be comming from.

Get a program called CCleaner and Spybot Search & Destroy. CCleaner will get rid of anything running on your computer that doesn't need to be there including temporary internet files. And Spybot will get rid of any spyware which is mosly likely what is causing the slowdown.

What kind of internet connection do you have? If it's cable, other people in your area may be using up the bandwidth.
