What connection do you have?

I usually get 30-40.

Thanks to New Zealand's stone-age and monopolistic telecommunications, I can get pings of over 1000 on New Zealand ad Australian servers sometimes for no reason. Often it averages at around 400-500 and when it's working I get pings of around 90-100 on local, (Aus and NZ,) servers.
I will hear NO-ONE complaining of 150 pings! 150 pings are awesome!

39-59 ping

I can play 150, and even 175 tops.

I hopped on a server today and hit 235. I had to aim almost 5 meters ahead of people to actually hit them.

It really comes down to how you have your latency options set. I change mine to apply for certain ping ranges, but anything above 175 is practically unplayable.

And it is mostly above 260 with the shitty services I'm dealing with.

I agree telecome are teh sux0r. Espicially Go Large Plan which is what I used to be on. I got pings of 60-80 which sounds fine but I was always getting laggy delays and spikes FFS.

What I would recommend to anyone in New Zealand is to switch to Orcon ASAP. They have a deal atm with 2 months free broadband if you are coming from another ISP.

I am on a MAX/MAX plan with 15gig CAP for $60 NZD per month. Make sure to specify to have them turn off interleaving. I now get 7-11 ping on ICONZ and Xtra. On Australia Gamearena and Internode I get around 50. Off peak times the fastest I have downloaded large files at 790 KBPS +. Usually my torrents sit around 350-500kbps. 1 thing that sux about fast internet is its so easy to go over your cap ;(. Think I might have to switch to 30gig. I downloaded 15gb in 10 days.

thats why i love the TSC server .  Im usually 120 on all servers

I play with 100-150 and hate the lag, but I try to make the most of it.

But when im on Multiplay.co.uk servers with 50 ping im doin' good without lag.

So your trying to tell me that on your shit days I, a person in Taiwan can get better ping then you I get around 200 ping on NZ servers but 340 on Aus...

Have you tried using Xfire?  Type in max ping of 70, choose ranked and "my country", and you'll have much better pings.  I usually get a choice of 6 or 7.

Of course, if you have an internet speed of 512 or less, this might only come up with 2...
