Hey all, I'm off to play some 1.12 now and was wondering if anyone wanted to join me?

If so, xfire me, bf2s me whatever.

Should be good fun in that Blackhawk like the good ol' days

1.6ghz Intel dual core
512 Ram
ATI something or other 256mb

(I'm on my laptop)

Another thing that amazes me about 1.12 is the map loading speed! I load it in about 5 times as less as I do in 1.41! It's amazing me...

It's an alienware so everything is amazingly good for the specs. Trust me, it runs it well.

I just have a ping of 100 (lowest) to 350

ya, revert to 1.12 first. then make a copy of ur bf2 folder (the big one which is usually under program files/eagames/bf2 something like that). Save the copy to another drive if you have one, or just on ur desktop. Change the name to bf2 1.12. Then apply patch 1.41 to the other copy. Now you have both. When you want to play 1.12, just switch the folders and rename the one in programfiles/eagames as bf2, name the other one as which ever version it is.

I'll install 1.12 and play, so many noobs... and for some reason when I play it I'm a 3 Star General... I'm a Lt. Col. in BF2 1.41.. LOL

Different ranking system...

How to install 1.12 and 1.41:

You have 1.41 atm right?
Go to c:\Programme Files \ EA Games \ Battlefield 2
This Battlefield 2 folder is patched to 1.41.
Copy it, so you get "Copy of Battlefield 2"
You now have 2 copies of a Battlefield 2 1.41 folder.
Run 1.12 patch.
This will patch the Battlefield 2 not the Copy of folder.
You now have 1 folder 1.12 and another 1.41.
Rename appropiately.
Make a short cut to each bf2.exe.

Easy peasy (i think that works anyways, assuming you can back-patch, but the rest is OK, im running both)

I've tried that before, and my Bf2 got corrupted, so right now i'm just doing a full re-install..

Who cares if it takes a longer.. at least this way I dont have to monkey around with patches.

Hmmm it should work.

A good tip is to make a backup of your Battlefield 2 folder though, just in case.

Ya, well have to play 1.12 Wake Island with blackhawks and own everyone.

I gotta go do some work though for like a hour, ill be back later.
