So my Nortin runs out in like 7 day's so I can either re-new or go for something totally different. Any suggestions?

They put it on my computer when I bought it. Only downside is that we can't figure how to make the scheduled scans work. We set it up, but it only opens up the thing, it doesn't automatically scan it.

I have AVG and I cannot fault it.
Zone Labs: Zone Alarm Security Suite. Best of the best. Not a single thing to complain about after over 2 years of use. Firewall, antivirus, antispyware, IM control, you name it.
Get Avast!!!! Its Free!
I run avast, awesome AV although it is a bit of a resource hog, turn it off before gaming!

Norton and McAfee are so amizingly shit. Norton stopped my internet from working at all. I uninstalled it and it worked fine.

If you can get a free anti virus wouldn't you go for the best one....I know that F secure has a 98 percent detection rate and doesn't task you computer to make it a fat turtle.RDMC(2) wrote:

I quite like F-Secure. Bit of a resource hog though.
I've used Symantec AV Corp for 3 years now (free to me). I never let it run actively, just when i need to scan or when sending/receiving in Outlook. Thinking about trying AVG on next pc builld.

Avira Anti-Vir works well, it uses like 4MB of RAM when just idling.
