Well it seems that a german guy got on the Master Ban List (MBL) maintained by PsB which makes him the first guy to get banned from 2142 etc. Was banned on 31 Oct '06 for violation MD5TOOL #9002.

Says nothing more than a checksum violation of the game file. Usually a filename or hint should show up in brackets behind that #9002, which tells exactly what has happened. Could be an aimbot or wallhack.

Edit: btw, where did you get that knowledge from? None of the PB-related sites I visited seems to know of a ban for 2142 so far.

#9002 means a MD5Tool check.

He downloaded something that wasnt supposed to be in his gamefile.

Basically his game file/s were different to what they were supposed to be. Moddified file(s) is the cause of this. Aimbots and wallhacks usually show up with codes of 60000 & 80000 etc etc

md5 is a checksum string used to verify file integrity. To make sure that the file matches the original intended file. You either have a corrupt file or downloaded something that changed the file in a way that the md5 is no longer matching the file.
