All i want to do is play battlefield on the highest settings and run AutoCAD and search the net. I don't want to spend over $1000.00 but i guess i could go up to $1500.00 (and eat peanut butter and jelly for the rest of the year. ) I was thinking about the Dell XPS since they have a pretty decent payment plan and free shipping.  I tried searching for this info but I don't have time to hunt for the info.

I would assume just the tower.  I don't think you would get very far including the monitor.

at least 2 gigs of memory.  at least 2.2 Ghz processor.  this is my video card.  speed of hard drive only affects load time.  I have 7800 rpm and it's fine.

I run all my shit on high, and I'm usually 4th or 5th to finish loading.  my rig cost <1000.00

I settled for the dell XPS 410. I figured I could upgrade gradually if i want to later on. Now my only problem is finding my cd key! EA said I have to mail my disks to them and send them a $10.00 money order for a new cd key. i've been looking on ebay for a cheap copy!
