I would get 2 gig of RAM if at all possible, other wise looks good. Personally I would give up the water cooling for a few fans and 2 gig of ram, or a better graphics card.

I agree about getting 2 gigs of RAM, i recently upgraded from 1 to 2, and it makes a HUGE difference to BF2, no more load-up jerkies

Ok.  So should I stick with the 7600 GS, ditch the water cooling, and go for 2 gigs of ram.  Instead of getting a 7900 GT with only 1 gig of ram?

Because I am thinking that I am probably going to upgrade the ram in the future anyway.

More RAM makes a huge difference, the game seems to need about 1.4G to run well with XP in the background.

I would also consider a bigger power supply.  You never know the demands of your system until things mysteriously stop working because they are under powered.

Get a 975X chipset on the MB because the 965 wasnt designed around the Core duo. And the Core duo's run cooler so you dont need that water cooling unless you plan to overclock.

edit for spelling error

Change that nVIDIA GS to a GT, and if you can afford it get the next Conroe that has 4mb cache.

Ide get a 500w power suply along with the second gig of ram if i were you. Nothin sucks more then not being able to power your equipment. Not saying 420 couldnt, but still.

I'd get 2GB's of RAM. Good processor, I'm getting a 6300 though.

Good video card, maybe upgrade to a 7800?

Guys, Thanks for all of the input.  +1 to all of you who took the time to help me out (and anyone else who is to post).  I am still open to suggestions but I will post my final decision fairly soon.  I'm having a hard time trying to limit it to $1,100 dollars.

More help is greatly appreciated.

If you think you are going to upgrade your ram in the near future, I would go with the 7900GT. The RAM will give you a bigger increase in performance, but is alot easier and cheaper to upgrade than your card. How much does that water cooling system cost anyways?

Basically RAM is better, but to add the RAM you just drop about $100, stick in the RAM and you're good, instead of buying a $150-200 card, then later taking out that card that is now useless and buying a $200-300 video card.

Ditch the Mobo.... ECS isn't that good. Get something a bit faster. Also, do like everyone else said, get more ram if you can.

This is the truth.  It's much easier to install RAM thatn a video card, and I can still use the RAM I have in there; unlike the vid card...I'd either have to sell it or give it away.

I'll edit this post with final specs.  Sorry if I didn't take all of your guys info and add it in, I had to consider my monetary limitations as well as computer performance.

$1198 Shipped.
www.zipzoomfly.com
(Newegg.com is cheaper some of the time, however zipzoomfly has free shipping on everyting, so when ordering a large ammount of stuff, you will save a bunch of money on the free shipping).

Extra 98 bucks, however you get a XFI soundcard, 2 gigs of RAM, 7900 GT video, floppy and a DVD/CD RW.  Of course if you have a DVD, sound, floppy, etc, you can drop that below 1100 easily.

Good luck and have fun!!!

Wow dude!  That is a sick rig man.
One question.  Would I have to put that together myself, and is there a link for all of that stuff?

Would you be willing to build a computer yourself? Or do you want to buy pre-built.

Heard the new DX10 cards are going to require 450w. You may want to get at least a 500w power supply.

Honestly, I only have some idea of how to build a computer.
Never done it before.
Always wanted to try it.

So I'm going with pre-built, then taking apart my old computer and rebuilding it so that in the future I can finally build my own.

That looks like a good rig Stealth built, chuck the X-fi sound card for some Creative Live! 24 bit or something and get reasonable quality for about $100 less. If you aren't a hardcore CS guy or don't use the comp to listen to music a ton, should be fine.

You can get the xtreme music x-fi for like $120. I got one of those, and let me tell you, I love it! Its like 3 cards in one.

I really like that rig, but he hasn't responded if it's prebuilt or if I have to build it myself.
