How fast and high can a chopper really go?

Max speed for choppers is 14,850 KH and they can atleast hit 1,004,992 meters, (thats over 1 million) I would have gone higher but I was getting bored

They funny thing is when you get really high the chopper starts shaking violently and the graphics go wierd. This is what it looks like when you jump out of the chopper holding an M16A2: http://img453.imageshack.us/img453/9807 … 223zv8.jpg

Has anyone gone over 1 million? It would be cool to go into outer space!

Once you hit 600 it takes longer than a second to get 1 higher. I think getting to 1 million altitude would take you about 277 hours.

seems to me that when your on a map the vehicles only show up at a relatively close distance... at this height id figure you wouldnt be able to see that apc... but who knows im often wrong :-P

Hit 'N'. The minimap has three zoom levels. The middle and highest zoom both show empty vehicles no matter how far away from them you are. Only the lowest zoom does not, as it can't fit all the detail into such a small area.

I could have sworn there was a ceiling. Back in the 1.# days, I tried to max out and only got about 600 or so before the chopper quit or blew up.

aha... see like i said... "often wrong" ..... i flew a helo up to like 600 or 700 cant really remember and that took forever, so congrats on havin way to much time to kill lol
