No, not the usual "I killed someone X amount of times but he still doesn't show as my favorite victim, wtf?" question.  This one's different.

Today I killed someone X amount of times but he still doesn't show as my favorite victim, wtf?

Honestly, though, when I kill someone and that person gets revived, does it still count as a kill to be totaled in?  Obviously it counts as a kill for me, but it doesn't count as a death for them.  So...does the favorite victim number depend on the amount of times you made someone respawn or just the amount of times you killed them?

Because I swear, today I killed someone X amount of times but he still doesn't show as my favorite victim, wtf?

I think you have to kill those X amount of times without getting killed by him... Did he kill you? And I think the kills count even if he gets revived... Not shure though...

I would say that the kill counts.  You get the points for it.  Also, stat padders have a high number of kills on one person, even if they just do the old shoot/revive/shoot/revive on their best friends stat padding account.

I would say that it does count.

Yeah, I have that same thing, actually.  Someone else must be playing on my account...

Player A kills Player B X amount of times, now, the only way that Player B will be Player A's victim is if Player B has either no other enemies, or has an enemy that killed him less than X amount of times, OR, Player A has killed Player C more than X amount of times, then only Player C will apear on Player A's victim's list, and not Player B.

Basically. Kill a low ranked guy like, 2 or 3 times in one round, almost guarentee that he will be your victim.

I'm well aware how it works, thanks.  I even put their names into BF2S because I'm a dirty, dirty stat-whore like that...I know for a fact that I killed two people today more than their current worst enemies did, especially one of them, who I had more than double the number.

...yet I get nothing.

Have your stats updated at all today?

Were they ranked low?

Check their stats on another site, because if they were privates, they wont be on bf2s.

EDIT: I also found that, if they are a high rank, and no one has viewed their stats page on this site, they wont be on the server and ready to go, so just visit their page and you will probably see it come up if this is the case that is.

Naw, they're not privates.  One is a 2nd Lieu and the other is a first sergeant or something.  Their stats definitely show up on BF2S, which is how I know that I killed them more times than their worst enemy did.  With one of them, I actually counted 14 kills (I started after he kept spawning on a SL whom I couldn't find and got four kills in the first 15 tickets of the round).  His current worst enemy only has 6 kills on him.

My stats and his stats have both updated since then, although my stats don't need to update; the person's name gets added to your list as soon as his stats update.

LOL

Okay, seriously, it's possible it doesn't matter if they get revived. I have a newish favourite victim (since 9th July) HauptmannMoe, that finally took the place of the one I'd had for ages, at least since April but I think from the first month or two of playing. During the round on at least one occasion I know I killed Moe, he got revived and I killed him again (the first kill was still on screen when the second one appeared) plus I killed the medic and himself the final time with a grenade. He's showing up on my stats as being killed seven times, which feels about right. I don't think it could have been much more than that, i.e. the kills before the revives not counting toward the total.

I've had the same sort of thing with my favourite victim list; I'm certain that it doesn't work quite right. One time I'm sure I have to be on the guy's list as he was AFK and spawning on the artillery island on Wake, I must have gotten him at least ten or twelve times that round and definitely four or five in a row (until that bastard spec ops player on my side finished with the artillery and started knifing him before I could shoot!) Didn't think to take screenshots so I don't know the name but unless he makes a habit of going AFK I would have thought that would show up on my stats at least in the More Victims section.

And on the other side, I only have one player on my More Enemies list, with four kills. I'm sure there should be at least one or two other people on that list... others have guys with only two kills against them on theirs.

As noted above, EA's tracking of this particular aspect is buggy. I have killed people more than enough times IAR on mule accounts for them to be my new favorite victim, but more often than not, they never show up.

on a side note.... im pretty sure it doesn't count as a death for the person when they are revived, as if u hold tab until u are spawned again, it will appear as soon as u spawn.   Thus being revived saves a death.. possibly the fav. victims stats depnds on their deaths not ur kills.

but then again stats padders get the kills and deaths after being revived so im probably dead wrong

ur time has been wasted by reading this, and have a nice day
