wow - you don't have faith that your fellow puerto ricans will vote to take thier place?
Haha no.

I did have in mind how poorly Spanish society reacted when they lost their colonies after the Spanish American war.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generation_of_%2798
The name Generación del 98 was coined by Jose Martínez Ruiz, commonly known as Azorín, in his 1913 essays titled "La generación de 1898", alluding to the moral, political, and social crisis in Spain produced by the disaster and the loss of the colonies of Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines after defeat in the Spanish-American War that same year.
They never psychologically recovered. We won't either

Electronic cigarettes should be forced to follow the same advertising rules as traditional cigarettes. They shouldn't be allowed to run ads on T.V. or radio just like cigarettes are.

True.
You might cut all the disadvantages that cancerogenous smoke causes, but you're still inhaling a potent, habit-forming drug.
The danger of poisoning is also higher with those liquid solutions used, compared to bitter tasting tobacco products.

These things aren't regulated like cigarettes. So people have no idea what they are really putting into their bodies. As you said, the pleasant taste might cause people to consume more than they normally would. More people will be lured into using these things also because people deem them to be a safe alternative. One day we might look back and realize that e-cigarettes have done more harm than good.

Or they might look back and see that they've saved millions of people from developing lung cancer. They're probably a lot less dangerous than coffee.

I saw the article a few days ago. I meant the addiction, the shakes, etc. I drink coffee every day, and it's not because the taste is especially pleasant, but because of the caffeine. I'm just tired of everyone, especially progressives, poo pooing other peoples life choices. If you don't conform to the yuppie-organic-food-eating-yoga-performing-running-marathons-and-telling-all-their-friends-about-it lifestyle they shit on you and try to ban stuff "for your own good" or "for the children".

People wanna smoke? Let 'em. At this point they know the risks. As for e-cigs, treating them like cigarettes is probably the stupidest trend ever. They've proven that they don't actually care about other peoples health, they just don't want to have to witness other people doing something they deem yucky.

It's the same with going after poor obese people, it's not that they care about their health, it's that they are just unpleasant to look at. McDonald's is the enemy because it made food cheap for poor people, and increased unpleasantness in the world. Poor people were so much easier on the eyes when they were starving, am I right?

I too couldn't muster 2 fucks about other peoples life choices but often they do affect other people.

Smokers have 2nd hand smoke that gets all up in my business when I'm trying to stand at the bus stop.
Big fat fatties fuck up healthcare.
etc.

I occasionally buy organic but because of the animal humane issues not the GMO's. Either way, I don't give a shit if anybody else does because it doesn't affect me if they do or don't.
I don't give a shit if people drink coffee or tea or water at work.

(I don't really care if people are fat or smoke because it doesn't "actually" affect me. It would only help if EVERYONE decided to lose weight, and we all know the south has a better time trying to 'Rise Again' as they so lovingly put it)

McDonald's is perfectly healthy if you pick the right items and control your portions. Instead of getting a soda, get an orange juice or milk. Instead of having two big macs, have one big mac. Instead of getting a big mac, get a chicken wrap or salad. etc. Add some light exercise into your daily routine and you can pretty survive off of the stuff.

I am pretty marveled at McDonald's. They manage to provide lost cost meals meals quickly and efficiently.

I think most attacks on McD's are classist.

They're almost all classist. The ones that aren't are just snobby foodies trying their hand at elitism.

I personally put BK and JitB below McD's. Not that wackarnolds isn't shitty, just not the absolute MOST shitty.

If I go to fast food I go to taco time. Pretty sure it's just a West/Northwest place but the food is pretty decent.

I really only go to shitty fast food if I'm drunk.

Taco Bell is my favorite. I like McD more since I have BK like once a week and familiarity breeds contempt. That 2 for $5 premium sandwich deal is good.
