Null vote, because I don't really know. This can be taken both ways. It is a classic gesture of Islamic domination to put mosques on conquered territories and edifices, but the structure itself isn't very imposing or threatening. That building, according to what I remember, was damaged by the 9/11 attacks, so it's technically a part of ground zero. This is what people have in mind when they consider a mosque there to be in poor taste, even if it isn't illegal.

As I said, if you're looking for bias, you'll find it.
The reason why discussing bias is mostly futile is because it's a very subjective thing to begin with. Because the media is such a vast industry, I'm sure we could spend several years digging for biases with specific sources. However, none of that would say much about the industry as a whole.
Basically, the best you can do is argue whether a single source is biased one way or another. Maybe, with enough research, you could pin down the media's overall bias on a specific issue, but to actually say the industry as a whole supports one party or another would be nearly impossible to prove.

For example, of course you're going to think the media is liberal if you're really far to the right. By comparison, most media sources will be considerably more liberal than you personally.
That doesn't mean the media is liberal compared to the average person.
And as for my own leanings, yes, I'm left of center. However, I'm not far left. For example, I support the phasing out of SS. I support cutting overall government spending by a considerable amount. I support more border security. I support gun rights. I'm against affirmative action.
There are numerous stances I hold that aren't Democratic or far left. Just because I don't believe that the media overall is left wing doesn't make me leftist myself.
Ideally, the media overall would be unbiased, but every source has its slants. Humans aren't objective by nature. We have to strive to be objective, and usually, that only works temporarily.
