Anyone else on the East Coast melting in this heat wave? It's been above 98F for the past few days in DC, hell on Tuesday it was around 102F. With humidity no less. My house lost power last night and it was gone for 13 hours... some great infrastructure we have in this country

So who else is melting in the sun?

it was pretty hot/humid like this a couple years ago.  basically a "heat wave" for the east coast is the normal summer + 10 degrees Fahrenheit (consecutive days)

Yeah dude. I think anywhere west of Ontario it gets extreme temperatures. I live in southern Alberta, and summers can get to 40C and winters down to -40C. It`s terrible.

Yep. Thank god for A/C

Wouldn't surprise me if we have another blackout like back in 2003.

Another thing to consider is the dew point. Higher dew point = shittier weather. The dew point here is like 73F right now, which Wikipedia describes as "very uncomfortable"

My AC is not working right....it has been running 24hrs and barely manage to stay cool at 80. I'd say it is in the 90's outside. I have a pool to keep cool but the kids piss in it all day so a tall glass of ice cold beer will be on it's way.
