There are only two Predators at that point since the Russian guy blows himself up along with one of the predators.

I actually liked Brody's performance in this movie. Everything was so painfully obvious and you knew from the beginning who would survive and who would die. Another thing I didn't like is why we were constantly reminded that everyone is badass - 'This one is a killer, this one is from Chechnya...'. In the first Predator you just saw the guy spit out of the helicopter and you instantly knew he was a badass.

That's true, I automatically knew who would make it through to the end. I didn't care who the fuck all the people were in the original, it took a one minute scene in the chopper for me to establish all the characters and how badass they were. They overworked the plot in this one too (the spaceship : /), and why the fuck do these three predators seem so stupid compared to the one in the first movie?

Danny Trejo is probably busy with Machete, which is done by Rodriguez too, so that is why they gave him just a short cameo

I was dissapointed too with Danny going first. Had some expectations for him. But then again what can you expect from a Mehiko thug among soldiers (and a couple serial loonies)? BTW this was done by Nimrod Antal. Rob was only producing (babysitting) the film. Did anyone else forget completely that Fishburne was in the movie until he appeared? I think he did a good "crazy" role. A bit short tho, but good.

There is one thing I am not clear about:
Did Edwin know the predators would not kill him since he was not armed through out the movie? When he revealed he was a serial killer, he vaguely mentions he like being with the Predators because they make him feel normal and seems like he already has survived one hunting season on the planet. I thought everything was game on this planet.

Good question indeed. Left me wondering too. He was hanging from the tree in the beginning so it would appear he came with the rest of the crew. But then again he recognized the poison plant. That made me wonder if there are similar ones on earth or did he know what it was and was just playing the Russian? What was the plant anyways, I don't remember? In the first Predator the woman was left alone since she was unarmed so that would fit in one way too. But then again in the sewers of the mining complex he was kinda lost and threw that torch on the Predator. Buuuut he kinda on purpose left himself behind in my opinion. Need to watch it again to make further conclusions.

Just saw it. Was entertaining, but predictable and instantly forgettable.
