I was playing TF2 on this server: 81.19.212.48:27028 when suddenly something started interfering with my movement. At first I thought it was my wireless keyboard acting up, but if it was broken or something the movement would be jagged up/ random. Then I realized I was being hacked, someone had taken control of my player and basically playing for me. I would just sit back and facepalm as he would go around killing enemies and throwing me off cliffs. It was fun... for a while. I couldn't type in the chat, so I hit esc to tried and change my name to "fuck off me". The game crashed and I was like pff glad that's over, so I opened msn, and when I tried talking to some guy I still couldn't type!!!! Letters like dsaw ww d appeared in the chatbox D: He was still trying to control my player!

What the fuck could that be?? It's all ok now, I restarted, but I'm still worried about this. Normally after disconnecting from the server, he would lose connection to my client, but EVEN when quitting from the game, he was still there!
I will run a scan and get back to you people. Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me n all.

It is back!!! the awsd hacker is back. He started opening folders and writing words with his 4 favorite letters. Does it happen when you start in safe-mode?

Also, open your task manager and see if there's any strange things running.
I doubt it'd be that obvious, but it won't hurt to try..

Yeah when i disconnect the modem the thing stops, so it's obviously remote controlled. But im too afraid to turn the computer back on, i dunno. I will try safe mode in 10

that's creepy as fuck. i remember in my ol cisco classes the teacher used to take control of the computer, which was fine and all, but i was creeped the fuck out by it. there's just something about not having control over what you're doing that's really discomforting.

How do you know it? Try disabling all the wireless stuff and use a normal keyboard. Better that then do all more long winded n possibly needless stuff

Have you tried different virus / malware scanner programs before reformatting? Seems a bit drastic.

Im trying the one capnismo suggested. Panda doesn't work in safe mode too. Seems like reformatting is the only choice.

You do realise that you could just unplug your internet and then run Panda in normal mode right. Maybe you should try that out before you go and reformat.

Unless you're saying that Panda doesn't detect anything in normal or safe mode. Which in that case, yeah, if another AV doesn't work. Reformat is probably the only solution.
