Stuff like this is nothing new, but I think BF2 was honestly a nice break from rampant hacking after quitting playing CS a couple of years before due to how ridiculous it had become. I remember that there were hacks in BF2 that would show enemies on your radar and the like (removing the fog of war was another big one too, IIRC), but aimbot style hacks not so much.thepilot91 wrote:

I think I remember seeing a video showing off an aimbot (and even then, it may not have even been on a ranked server), but it didn't seem like it made the user all-powerful like they can on a map like Metro. And infantry-only mode didn't come out until a few years on, so during BF2's prime years you might get some quick kills with an aimbot, but a tank or APC would put an end to your fun real quick...
BF3 just has so many weird exploits though, like being able to shoot people through floors/walls, spawning in enemy vehicles, MAV elevators, etc. I see exploits used on a daily basis, but aimbots have been pretty rare.
Oh jeez, the bf3 drinking game. Play Kharg, or Norshar team deathmatch, and take a drink every time you die. Shotties only.

I've seen some blatant hacking on BF3, like the post yesterday. The hacker had shot up 10 of the enemy whilst the round countdown timer was still going for the round to actually start. Playing rush Damavand Peak, we were down the bottom. Same thing on Saturday, the guy had 20+ kills in the space of 30 seconds.
Sometimes stuff is questionable but calling people on it isn't doing much. When it's obvious then the whole server knows about it.

Im totally relaxed about it, not much pisses me off in real life never mind a game. As long as the rules are the same for everyone who plays I think its fair game, even if people are unhappy about certain aspects.
I'm liking the patch notes. The game is going to improve exponetially IMHO.
