So, arguably the biggest gaming convention of the year is starting early this year. It'll be June 2nd-June 4th with major presentations from the big 3 (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) as well as booths and demos from the major developers (Bethesda, Infinity Ward, Valve, etc). Some major announcements are expected this year. Post your predictions now and we'll see in a week who was right.

My predictions:

1. HL2: Episode 3 teaser trailer/possible release date area (I'd say Early-Mid 2010)
2. MS reveals a motion camera controller much like the Playstation Eye
3. PS3 Slim revealed, priced, dated
4. MGS4 expansion revealed
5. Forza 3 coming out later this year
6. Kojima shows everyone what secrets he's been hiding in that slick asian mushroom haircut
7. New PSP unveiled
8. Fallout: New Vegas teaser shown, release date area given
9. New Fallout 3 DLC (Mothership Zeta/Point Lookout) previewed
10. Expansion upon the 360 avatars...maybe a Home-like space for them?

4 and 6 could essentially be the same but hey, you never know.

And stretches:

- MGS4 gets ported to the 360/MGS5 is a multiplatform release/The Metal Gear remake that's rumored will also be multiplatform
- Microsoft handheld announced
- PS3 price cut (originally I thought it was gonna happen, but with the losses they've been taking I don't expect it anymore)
- Hideo Kojima has a battle royale with Gabe Newell, Shigeru Miyamoto and Cliffy B...with the winner and his representative party being declared the winner of the platform wars.

I can see and hope for a PS3 price cut. Although I already have mine, anything to get more PS3s out there for more games is a good thing.

I still don't see them making MGS on anything other than Playstation. I bet Sony will throw a lot of money at Kojima to prevent that from happening since it's one of the very few great exclusives PS3 has.

I'm hoping for:

Uncharted: Among Thieves - New videos/info
Something MGS related - likely after Kojima's site.
An announced date for Gran Turismo 5
Maybe a new version of PSP since DS just got a face lift
Anything about MAG, they announced the game at last year's E3 and had a quick video for it, I don't think anything new was released for it since...

What I'm not expecting:
-Any current exclusives going cross-platform. I shake my head when people expect MGS and GT5 to go cross-platform.
-Wii to do anything unless they announce some Mario sports game.

True dat, but not much was changed. I actually liked CSS, all guns were succesfully usable, not only the M4 and AK and the gameplay in general was faster and more offensive with less camping.
But still, with all the time passed between 1.6 and Source, they changed just minor things. They didn´t even put in a new gamemode or new weapons. It´s more of a tweaked, re-done 1.6. Even the playermodels were the same!

That might be a valid arguement if they didn't change systems in the past, FF didn't start with Sony.

My main point is about GT5 and a whole new MGS cross-platform. Sony is basically Kojima's best friend and sony friggin owns the GT series, why people believe a whole new game from those series being cross-platform is beyond me. That's like believing they'll make a Mario game on 360 or PS3.
