Whats your average FPS /

Was hanging out over at tweakguides (http://www.tweakguides.com/BF2_1.html)
and finally came across (yeah im late to the game) the FPS command for BF2 (renderer.drawFps 1) to find out your in game FPS outside of using fraps.

so i turn it on, and scream into the darkness (ie: mom's basement) of the pitiful numbers im getting when i believed (quite incorrectly) i was fair to midland.

the first number is FPS, and the second is the time in milliseconds between frames.

on an empty (MT) server It was a respectable 80/15 but thats not much fun all alone, so i jumped in a 32 man server and watched it plummit to a weary 25/32 ACK

So, i was wondering what other people got regardless of system specs or video options, what's your average FPS / MBF in the game your playing?

I get anywhere from 40-100 fps in a 64 man vBF2 server, and about 20-60 in SF, mostly because all the fighting gets concentrated into one area quickly.

if i put the fps up i can happily get 200/8 or 200/4 depends where i am on the maps :S lowest i've seen it go is 80
all settings max inc AA

somtimes when im walking fast i can get up to 8 feet per second, but genraly when im walking around the job site ill get 5-6 feet in a second.

60-80ish usually @ 1280x1024 'ultra' settings 6xAA..

50-70ish usually @ 1600x1200 'ultra' settings 6xAA.... would play at this since it looks a little better but its annoying because peoples names are so god damn small =/

It is but you can unlock the fps to unlimted i think or 1000. But its more unstable i once did it on bf1942

and why bother with anything over 60 fps? your eyes can't see anything faster than that... (i think its 60, maybe something else)

yup unlock the fps higher
and you CAN notice a difference from 24~25 upwards
if you can't then u have problems
running games at 25 is NOTHING like running it at 150+
tried lookin at a CRT running 60fps vsync locked with 60hz
flickering NIGHTMARE and headache territory
it depends what your looking at as to the effects but in games it's pretty damn noticable when the fps gets anywhere near 25~30 mark, hell i dont like it if it drops below 40, which tbh it never seems to anymore which is cool.

but yea it wasn't a typo with the 200 i'll sort some kind of screen later maybe

Good to see you on another game. One that isnt totally dead and makes you feel like an idiot for playing.

Ive seen a few WNx guys around, but no one I recognize from aforementioned game that shall remain nameless. Im always looking for people that like to squad together and know what teamwork is. If I remember correctly, WNx fits that description. Just there are no gens or purple spandex in BF2... Hope you guys can cope

Im bigwrm on xfire if you have that. Hope to see you around. As for your question, X800XL, 1.5 gigs pc3200 amd64 3500 venice and 120gig sata. 8x something adn 16x something else, I get 45-70 steady. Except Iron Gay tor. I usually keep everything on medium so no hiccups at all, but everything on high works good too. I LOVE THIS GAME SOMETIMES.

No red alert computer crippling zergs to worry about.

films run at 23fps, but on a computerscreen thats not fast enough (has several reasons, to lazy to explain now - believe it). on a computer you can notice differences up to 72 fps. Anything above doesnt make any difference. For flatscreen 60fps is enough.

films are 30 and 25 depends which part of the world your in eg PAL or NTSC

i get 200+ in HL2

I usually get around 60 fps in bf2, I need more ram.

i get solid 300 in hl2 css NEVER EVER drops below 180
