Just got that silly idea. Anyone ever played Soldier of Fortune? Remember you used to carry a set of 7
throwable knives? you also would be able to pick them up again later. Damage was low but 2 or 3 knives killed an enemy. Knives would reach easily 40m distance and are always stealthy...
I came across the idea of making it "real". In real war you can throw them too.
Easier or harder to get the badge? Anyway what do you think about it?

OMG I love SOF, but the idea of throwning knives (while cool) is kinda outta place in BF2.

Yeah that would make it easier... Also it would be funny to see accuracy rates on knife throwing

There already is a mod that lets you throw knives. It's bundled with "realistic" weapon damage & blood splatters.

didn't one of the BF1972 Expantions have throwing Knifes? Besides think as you go up in rank you should get throwing knifes. That or attach it to you Badge level for knifes. Add other little things spacific to each kits badges also.

Throwing knives have been discussed before.

I reckon they could be cool for Spec Ops soldiers, however, using them should not count towards a knife badge.

And yeah, Secret Weapons introduce throwing knives. they wern't all that great.

Yes, in Secret Weapons u were capable of throwing knifes at enemies, and I was so much fun :-D
And indeed would be a lot easier to get a Knife badge :-) Making 18 Knife kills IAR now that the Knife/pistol only servers are banned is like damn impossible... The best I made was 9 .. So that was only half-way there..

I hate to say it but i like the idea of weapon limited servers. I meancome on, It changes up th game a little and lets you have a bit of fun and learn HOW to use a knife or pistol with out someone coming along and hitting you with a frag or tank! It's how i got my basic knife and while it made it easier I had to work to get it. A knife to knife fight is not easy!!!

A funny easter egg unlock could be an E-tool . You can melle with it and trow it too for a kill .

Chineese troops could unlock Chineese throwing stars or shurakens

MEC can have rusty brass knuckles hahahaha .

Medics could have an adrenaline needle .

The way around it is called a gentlemens agreement... happened to me the other night on a server, no admins around, so someone suggests using knife and pistol only and everyone else agrees... it was a blast.

even when someone would start using their rifle everyone else would gang up on them
