Wiki:
Defend flag = 1 point. You also recieve 2 points for the kill.
Neutralize flag = 2
Capture flag = 2
Neutralize assist = 1
Capture assist = 1
Driver kill assist
Driver special ability = 1 point. Note: You recieve these points while driving or piloting and someone that is in the vehicle with you recieves combat or team points.

But when I drive in a tank lets say, and the one that mans my MG is killing someone, I don't get driver ability\driver special ability points. I get "Driver kill assist".
So I'm confused, how do I get "Driver special ability" point?
In wiki it says combat or team point a passenger receives. So is it only true about team points only or also for combat points of a passenger that has free hands (not manning a MG or Minigun)?

umm if you are a medic and your driveing and a guy gits hurt in your car you heal them then you get the point

A "Driver special ability" is gained when one of your team-mates that are passengers in your vehicle uses his special ability (heal, give ammo etc) to another team-mate inside or outside the vehicle.

Example

You are tank driver, your man on MG is a medic, MG mans heals nearby team-mate, MG man gets a heal point and you get "Driver special ability" point.

thats not right, you only have to be the driver. the passengers get you the points.

another example would be say you are in an APC and one of the passengers is an Engineer, if you are next to destroyed artillery and he fixes them while in the APC then you get a Driver Special Ability point

Must I be the driver?
When I'm in an attack chopper and the driver gets a kill, I get "Driver kill assist".
If I'm a passenger and my pilot heals someone do I also get it?

Again the phrase out of wiki:

"Driver special ability = 1 point. Note: You recieve these points while driving or piloting and someone that is in the vehicle with you recieves combat or team points."

The wrong thing in this phrase is, that you dont get them for combat points and team points overall. As written  from other posters before, only for the points your passengers are gaining with their special ability. And you MUST be the driver or pilot to get them.

Further, the name "Driver special ability" is a bit confusing, I think. It could mention, that the driver get's point for his special ability...

BTW, there's a medal that requires 5,000 special ability points.
But I noticed that the number of special ability points granted are exactly as "driver score" in BFHQ.
And I noticed that even when I get a "driver kill assist" the driver score gets up.
What the medal requires then??
